It's called Regression. Are we better off now than we were at the close of last season? Absolutely not - we are worse and that simply should not be the case in the 3rd year of a coaching regime that has a core of his own players in key positions. That's coaching and piss-poor coaching at that.

You mean the two top ten classes that have been signed? Who is accountable for the poor execution on offense? The fact is that this is the first team in the history of Tennessee football to blow 3 13 point leads and two of them were at home and two were 4th quarter leads. I love Butch on NSD but he can't coach a 2nd half to save his butt. No halftime adjustments are ever made and we see nothing but poor clock management and questionable decision making.

The damn press gets on my nerves almost as much as these coaches. These different "reporters" will all get on their tweeter machines and let Jones have it but when it comes time to toss him a question face to face, they don't sack up. Someone needs to challenge Jones and this staff and refuse to eat anymore of his scripted, canned, horse sh*t.

I have an idea. Why don't each of you send Butch a tweet, and wish him luck this weekend against UGA? Being an a$$hole to him isn't going to get him fired. If he doesn't win enough he will lose his job without you being a pric.

I kinda hope they play in an empty stadium. maybe the Butch will realize the gravity of the situation he's in.

Was just saying this to some buddies tonight. Boycott Butch!!! Dave Hart will realize the gravity of the situation very quickly as well. For the betterment of the program!!

Comes in to a depleted UF team, has 6 scholarship lineman, noone at QB and an average overall squad and looks to possibly win the East in his first year.

Butch has 1 top 25 class and 2 top 5 classes and can't win a game worth sh*t.

So what's the difference? How do we continue to strive for below mediocrity?

I'll just copy/paste my post from another thread.

Jim McElwain is currently a perfect example of proof that 90% of Butchisms are BS excuses. At a place like Tennessee, with the resources we have, a competent coach can be competing for the East by at least year 2. UF is in the drivers seat and its year 1 for them. Is it a process? Yes, but it can go at a much better rate than what Butch is doing. McElwain's team in year 1 is better than Butch's in year 3. That's inexcusable.

Deja vu. These butch teams look exactly like Dooley's. Poor scheming, poor play calling, poor in-game adjustments, poor execution. INABILITY TO DOMINATE. It's scary that butch has the same record as Dooley up to this point with better talent.

We'll win the games we're supposed to (powder puffs, maybe vandy) lose the the one we're expected to.

6-6 or 5-7 again. Season is over for me but I'll still watch every game and route my ass off for the players. But damn, what a let down esp. with all of the positive energy around the program that butch generated. Mizzou's staff would destroy the east with these players.

Still love Tennessee and will always but I really thought we'd be better than this. We deserve to be.
