Butch Jones confidence

He probably has enough personal wealth now to live comfortably the rest of his life so he can say screw it at any time. Makes one much more relaxed, or so I hear.

One thing I've noticed this year is Butch is a lot more confident.

In game or during the weekly press conferences. He's laughing and joking more with the media during the press conferences. And a lot more chill on the sidelines during games even in the face of adversity these first 2 games.

Maybe he knows something we don't?

Both games so far, he's been scared to death. VT, he was scared to death, then fist-pumping like crazy as the breaks and team saved him.

But you know we're going 15-0 or 14-1 with a NC + Dobbs will have 3500-4000 passing yrds.

What else could Coach Jones possibly know that you don't?

I kid / I jest.

Don't forget the clicker he uses during his show. He will spend 10 minutes on 5 seconds of film.

Yes, it can take quite some time to break down just one play. Coaches obviously have a perfected system of doing so and many assistants to help out, but me when I'm just watching film through like NFL gamepass and I want to break down a play or two(and I'm not pro/coach/whatever or anything like that, just doing it for my own amusement/enjoyment) it takes me a good 10-15 minutes just to get through 1 play.

And even as an outsider if you're pretty good at recognizing blocking schemes, routes, progressions, etc, you still can't say with 100% confidence who did right and who did wrong, because you don't know the exact play call. Maybe the RB ran a route instead of staying of staying in to block like he was supposed to, and the OT looking foolish by letting the DE get outside isn't a blunder on the OT and is actually a blunder on the RB for not being there to pick him up/chip him, among many, many other scenarios.

I respect that footballconcepts guy(I think is what he calls his blog), he goes really in depth and detailed on his play breakdowns. Far better than I feel I can do.

Really? We're just waiting to unleash the beast on Florida? We go through this every year, seriously, a fiery cussing from sherion jones and overtime with app st. is NOT part of some master scheme by Butch and Co.

D4H, I'm not one of your detractors. I don't watch film, but you are right about Dobbs. I think you are too hard on Jumper.

I want to believe the BSiA have got this. I suspect the BSiA are as lost as last year's Easter Egg. I want to believe the Debordinator is going to put Florida in the buck.

Beat Florida and the rest will take care of itself.

Just beat Florida.

Did you see him last year against Oklahoma and Florida?

That was scared.

He's been way more confident this year in comparison.

I agree with demeanor is defintly different

Yes, me too.

I like waaaaaay more about Butch than I dislike. But watching him during several games (UF last yr especially) I noticed him stressing way over the top. That said to me that he was "in over his head" a bit, and not focused on the opportunity ahead effectively.

Let's see where his confidence level is at after the home game against Florida.

^^ This! It happens every year were holding plays not showing our hand until the first "real" game then when we don't show anything new it all melts down on this site. What you see on field is pretty much who we are. Sure they will throw a few plays in week to week but we have no hidden power scheme were mediocre at best

Y'all, UT is going to be more than just fine. UT is going to be celebrating 4-0 in about 8 days. I acknowledge that there will be plenty out there still unhappy with the way that we have won. That is part of this screwed up place and, unfortunately , probably always will be. I will continue to love my VOLs unconditionally as always. Great thing about college football, nobody knows from week to week about jack shoes. Except jack of course cause he picked out his shoes. Everyone else just runs into a pile of shoes and takes the best fit. Go VOLs !!!

👆seriously, enough with the overconfidence.

And this notion that we're hiding the majority of the playbook to unleash it on FL is asinine.
