Butch Jones is always looking for an edge. He's backed off some of the practice rigors while this team deals with a lack of depth and some nagging injuries, but he's really pushing his program to finish teams off and to attack when the opponent is weak and to put them away as soon as possible. He's spoke to the team about being attacks and to follow up that mantra, Jones had the Knoxville Police Department at practice late in the week along with a couple of their K-9 dogs as an illustration to the team.

He's just pacing himself...because it's a 6-7 year marathon. Not a sprint!

"attack when the opponent is weak and to put them away as soon as possible"

Music to my ears.

Wait just a minute... Where are all of the "positive" posters? Shouldn't they attack Jones like they did me a few weeks ago for suggesting that the pace of practice had contributed to UT's extraordinary number of injuries?

Jones is a "negavol" just like me. Who knew?

Wait just a minute...this was one of my go to rants! If no one transfers what else do I have? :scare:

Guess I'll take down my Urban Meyer beefcake calendar and just cheer for the team I supposedly root for. Who knows?

Big step. :)
