He has made mistakes this year and will make them next year and in the years to come, but he loves UT and he loves coaching our Vols. I was thrilled today to receive in the mail my own signed Butch Jones UT Volunteers football! I've added it to my other UT memorabilia and am proud to do so. Go Vols! Beat the Dores! And get a Sugar Bowl bid and a win there for 10 this year!!!!

I agree with the gist of your post but my gosh, there are so many self loathing vol fans in this forum. There lives must be so miserable they have to seek out more misery here.

I have real thoughts of staying away from Volnation because it is so toxic. Think how bad it would be if we had a losing season. Some of these miserable people make it tough to enjoy, but we must soldier on.

I do wish Freak would give us the "thumbs down" button to push for some of the worst offenders, sort of balance things out a little.

There are way more like you then you think. They just don't speak out publicly on this forum because of how negative it gets around here. I've heard guys tell me publicly that they read VN from time to time but the constant bashing keeps them from posting a lot or at all.

I think this forum hurts our team in recruiting and morale as well.

I have no clue why our fans expect perfection from day one and start turning on their coach as soon as we don't have the hottest coach in the conference.

Dabo stumbled many years before putting it together. The difference is their fans gave him the time and support. Our fans turn too quickly.

Just my opinion though.

This is ridiculous. I see this crap posted on here all the time. I heard atleast 12 coaches use the word "resiliency" in their post game interviews last week.

The ACC is a wasteland and Dabo can usually blow out his opponents on talent. And Butch's recruiting is trending downwards now.

Kinda crazy to expect that at an educational institution. I can certainly accept flaws in a coach if he/she (Pat Summitt) insists that players actually obtain an education and conduct their lives in a responsible manner.

I would take Dobbs over every other SEC qb any day.

Then again, I've never been a "win at all costs" type of guy.
