I don't think Jalen has graduated yet, so he would need to sit out a year, correct? Does anyone think he would be better off going into the draft this year rather than become the guy for one year and hope his film improves his draft stock?

Why do we continue to argue over and over about the I formation? When the scheme we have used since he got here got him close to the yardage record? The O-line play has been atrocious at times, but lately Alvin and John have been out playing him. If he doesn't agree with that then he isn't watching the same film.

There are 2 sides to every story but everyone is piling on Hurd, comparing him to Kelly Washington among other things. If his NFL potential lies at a different program then I say go. Lots of people on here demand unwavering loyalty from these players regardless of what it means to their futures. As if no one on this board left a job for a better opportunity - get over yourself Fingers.

Oh Hell people! saban had 4/5 players transfer this past August. Granted they weren't the level of Hurd. just recruited over. It's huge when a player of his caliber leaves the program, not attempting to minimize that .

So can we call Vol74 what he really is now? A fraud. He swore that Hurd would not transfer but he was going to the draft. Clearly, this guy is just trolling everyone.


I, for one, hate to see this go down, but Hurd needed to go. He brought this on himself. You quit mid-season on 84 of your teammates, then to you made this about you.

I hope you guys don't start calling him a VFL if he ever does decent in the NFL.

I never saw him just lay down on any carry or catch(Ga was a mistake and Butch yelled at him rather than asking if his bell was still ringing).

I remember James 'Little Man" Stuart getting hit in a Florida game as a Freshman, he fumbled and when asked about it he replied, "They knocked me silly", and went on to say at that point he didn't know what a ball was.

Those were different times.

Not trying to pile on the kid here, but I'm glad he didn't break the rushing record now. Can you imagine your all-time leading rusher transferring during his junior season?!

Where or when does it say right now?
I'm old enough to know that a rested Tennessee team shouldn't lose to a SC team that lacks talent and coaching. I'm old enough to know it's time for Butch to go Debord too. We've peaked already and our best came before Georgia.
I'm old enough to know we haven't put a complete game together.
I'm done with hanging on to whatever thread of hope Jones had/has of getting Tennessee back to a power year after year. Mediocrity is his label.

People saying he quit because of the scheme, why didn't he transfer in the spring or after last season? He's had 2500+ yards in this scheme, it's not scheme. He's probably mad for the same reason other players get mad: playing time, touches, low stats, etc. Little kid stuff. You know what real ballers do when they think they should be touching the ball more? They bust their butt in practice, in the weight room, and especially in the meeting room. They contribute, they talk to the coaches and say GIVE ME THE BALL AND I WILL GET IT DONE.

Show of hands, who can tell me which game this year was the best rushing game for TN this year? I will give you a hint, the rushing stats were 7 yards less than the previous two games COMBINED. Here's another hint, it was a game against a top 10 opponent that Hurd was mysteriously absent from. We rushed for 353 yards in that game without him. That's real, I didn't make that up. That happened.

Thanks for the production Jalen, you had some great plays, but you're not bigger than the team and you don't deserve anything.

There is no need to bash Hurd or any other player ever. If these guys aren't doing what they think is right and best for them, then they need to.

It's an honor and a privilege to run thru the T, if not they would be selling tickets to one of the best experiences I can imagine.

Good luck Jalen Hurd, I hope that all goes well for you and your's. I will root for your NFL team next fall.

Now back to the Vols. Will him leaving the team, make #120 better?

If your not old enough to figure it out I can't help you.

Tennessee takes a big step backwards at seasons end no matter what happens. All the talent that's expected to leave for the draft or transfer. Jones has to go he hit his mark and will do no better
