I was sitting here with some friends who are UK fans that was saying Butch wasn't showing any class by throwing the football when we're up 35-0. Last time I checked, you're playing to win. Why do some think this an issue for? Is Butch supposed to let them have the ball back just because he feels sorry for TTech? Makes no sense.

Explain this in a way the UK fans will understand. Ask them if Calipari lets his back ups fast break when they are up 35 early in the 2nd half?

55-0 is not running up the score onTTU. That is holding back. I live in Cookeville. I can say with certainty Tech was happy. Good payout that is desparately needed in their athletic budget. They will use that game, Houston last year and whoever else they have on schedule the next few years to build up for the OVC that they won a few years back. They have a new young coach who is pretty decent and they want to be able to compete with Jacksonville State. Was a great game for them and they were happy to lose only 55-0 for that check they got.

UK football stops this Friday when the basketball team plays their first game. Across the Lexington area, UK fans are refinancing their trailers for the fourth time to get the necessary funds to travel to the SEC and NCAA tournaments this year.

He took out the first string players before Half time.

Fans booed him because he kicked a field goal at half time (instead of running up the score)

He had every non-red shirt on the bench in and was giving Dormandy practice..

TT played this game to get some money in their system. They knew how it would play out. Tennessee called off the dogs in the second quarter. Every players saw action on the field. Players who have not played very much need to play in game conditions. Qbs need to throw the football, that is what they do. Punt returners need to run punts as well as they can Young players need to block and tackle. Butch could have scored 100 points Saturday if he wanted to, but he felt he needed to see how some of his younger players could perform in a game. TT was paid well for their performance.

I don't get it... Its 35-0 and fans boo Butch for kicking a field goal yet he's accused by others as running up the score. Seems like he can't win haha.
