Has made every effort including changing and or adding coaches at every turn to make this program as good as any in the country. Recruiting has NEVER been better than what he has and will put together over the next few years. All you w your pitch forks blaming him for everything that doesn't go perfect for this team are downright pathetic. Last year didn't go as he planned either ... so what does he do just sit around feeling sorry for himself , talk about working like heck etc. Nope , he goes out and gets the best people he can find to make us better. He has something special goin on here that will require patience. Doesn't appear that some of you naysayers have any idea what a rebuilding project he had on his hands. And you know what , he has us close , very close to being what we all want. Don't be a part of tearing it down. Have you seen the recruiting class he has committed? #1 in SEC

Those who can't are no better than those who won't. None of what you posted matters if it doesn't change the results on the scoreboard.

Drive for show, putt for dough. The dude ultimately has to get results on the field. Butch can cry foul about "negativity" all he wants but that's reality.

It's more fun for me to sit back and anticipate the upcoming season rather than ***** and moan like a little child because a coach has clichés and coach-speak. But what do I know.

I'm in Jones corner 100% to succeed. I understand what he walked into and I am aware the progress he has made here. However, when you lose games you shouldn't or choke the ones away when its crunch time or the cheesy cliché one liners, your going to get some blow back from the fans and media.

Jones is trying. He isn't afraid to shake up his coaching staff to improve the team when needed. His recruiting is superb and his knack for finding talent is unquestioned too. If he can just improve on game day when it matters most we for sure have a keeper for the long haul. If he doesn't ppl will clamor for his ousting. It's the nature of the business. Me personally think he gets the job done here and has a successful tenure at UT.

Doesn't mostly every coach in Merica do everything they can to get their team to the next level?

Some will do everything, including hiring strippers, cheat, and lie.

So "trying to get to the next level" is not a standard. Winning and having a relative clean program:clapping:

if Butch was more charismatic, i think he wouldnt be as hated by our fanbase. His insecurities and cliches don't work in his favor

If you understand what he walked into you should understand how depletive our roster was in November last year. Very comparable.

Cheesy cliche one liners shouldn't bother you. Every coach does this.

Your really care what the media thinks? These are guys that have never played a sport in their life.

We should've been in Atlanta the last 2 years. Butch is 2-2 against Vanderbilt and 0-8 against the SECw. I mean, I want to be optimistic but...

Based on what?

The only SECw teams that I think we should have beat is Arkansas and TAMU....should have beat Bama two years ago too, when we caught them right before their bye week. Other than that, we were not good enough to beat Auburn, Bama or Ole Miss, and that is just being honest.

I will always pull for us to win, but I am not irrational. Injuries affect the cohesiveness and production of a team.

Seriously?

Based on the fact that in 2015 we should have never lost to Florida!

Based on the fact that in 2016 we should have never lost to South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

The defense in 2016 utterly collapsed due to injuries. I know people think players don't matter and it's all coaching, but that's a lie. We were fielding a non-SEC defense for the last 5 games of the year.

I know exactly what the roster looked like in Nov. Hence why I am behind him 100% because I understand the cards he was dealt last year.

Cheesy one liners don't bother me. It's just timing of them sometimes.
