One has to seriously question your intelligence saying Johnny would have poured it on. I well remember the 26 26 debacle at Auburn in 1990 after we led big, the complete fiasco of a 3-3 unranked bammer team coming in to Neyland in 1990 and beating us while we were ranked no. 3 in the country 9-6 in a game we were way too conservative in, and I could easily cite like another two dozen examples.

Butch has done this a couple times, but I am not even sure I count last year against UF given how bad our OL/Worley combo was, but there are numerous other examples to the contrary.

Ask the players about the Fulmer clap. I have heard several players including Ainge and Swaim say they appreciated a coach who acted like he was in control and not panicking and running around yelling at everyone when things weren't going well.

Most athletes understand that.

You should call it the coach's clap if you're concerned with being accurate. Of course it seems like you aren't right now

I honestly hate to hear that. Perception will do far more damage to recruiting than reality. And, you're only as good as your last game. We're still not deep enough to compete at the desired level. We need two more years of solid recruiting. Hopefully, they figure out what's wrong with the passing game (coaching, players, O-line, etc.), and do so post haste.

Something else I noticed about Butch during the game. When Tennessee made a bad play, missed the FG, he was on the sideline giving that "Fulmer clap". Made me sick. The team or a player makes a terrible play, there is nothing to be clapping about, tell tell what they did wrong. When it is deserved a good azz chewing never hurt a player, don't clap and smile. It make the coach look like a loser, IMO.

Well "if" Ellis doesn't drop that touchdown then Medley never misses the field goal. See how that works? Not excusing Medley, I have seen better kickers on Friday nights. I hope he can straighten out his issues! We blew the game period. Coaches, and players! Yea, the loss sucks, it ruined my night, and I'm sure the players and coaches feel worse than the fans! They faught their heart's out and came up short, but this team has no quit in them. That's the difference I see. They BELIEVE they can, and should win! I have been waiting to see Tennessee football play like that again for 7+ years. I'm disappointed in the loss, but I'm excited about the rest of the season! Go VOLS!

Probably wasn't clear there, but 8 to 9 wins will be his max here. I don't ever see us dominating. To many questionable calls in pivotal games.
