Absolutely. We are so close. I believe in these guys. We win out, go into the off season strong. These boys get stronger and faster. More recruiting and I believe next year we will be a real contender. 9-4 year this year.

We ****ing lost, we are 3-4 and everyone is awesomely proud? How does that even remotely sound right? Did we swap fan bases with some team from California that just formed a football program?

It's simple. The fan base is scared of change. Therefore, they accept pretty much anything to avoid another coaching search.

When you look around and notice that a bunch of folks see something that you apparently can't, maybe that's the time to wonder what you're missing....rather than wonder what they're all missing.

I would be completely fine with a coaching change if I didn't think we were moving in the right direction. We absolutely have to finish strong and win out.

Your opinion. However, based on the fact that CBJ took over a dumpster fire of a program and used to get manhandled by AL until CBJ recruited. Back to back Top 5 classes. Now, we came within a Field goal kicker of knocking Bama off.. I truly believe CBJ will win a championship at UT within the next 3 years.

Omg! You saying how proud you are because it was a close game op. That's absolutely pathetic and every turbans wrong with the program right now. That was a winnable game we lead late. And like every one this season we lost in the end. Butch has a freaking losing record through 3 years. Wtf man?!

No, Chatta, read more carefully. Didn't say I was proud because it was a close score. Proud of the guys because of how they played, the guts and maturity and strength and smarts they played with, not the score on the board. Woulda been equally proud of them if we'd succeeded in the final drive and won by 1 or 3. Because of HOW they played, not what the score was.

If you care about the players and the coaches and the future of the program, this makes sense to you. If you care only about yourself, it won't.

We are a better team than we were last year, to the point where we can fight with the big dogs for sixty minutes. It's a painful, gut-wrenching process.

While you seem to embrace coaching changes. It's worked out so well for us the last few times. Progress be damned, let's fahr the first coach to be competitive with every team on our schedule since 2004 despite having younger talent and less depth than most of our opponents. Get a grip man.

Coaching changes have gone poorly for us because we have done a **** job of hiring coaches.

Al Golden is 28-22 and about to get whacked in Miami. Butch would have to go 13-5 in his next 18 games just to match that pathetic record. And some of you dolts love him. Unbelievable.

Ok everyone. I am about to go on a beer run. So before i go i wanna say my piece. I am a lurker mostly, just started posting recently. If you arent prod of the way this team played today, ask yourself this. All of the national media EXperts,I use that term loosely said we couldnt compete. Nobody gave Tennesse a chance. Some of you come on here and say we should do this, we shoulda done that. Fahr butch. Get off of it. 60 min of football is what we played. We are injured, young. But make no mistake. We are coming. Like a bat outta hell we are on the rise. Call me a sunshine pumper. Or whatever you will. But i dont call today a moral victory. Dont believe in them. But what i saw today were 2 great football team kicking the snot outta each other in a rivalry game that is going to be back in the nations eyes as revelant very soon. Flame away, or whatever. As always i will end like this. SEMPER FI. AND AS ALWAYS. GO BIG ORANGE.

Until now. But you won't stop *****ing and moaning long enough to see how close we are to being Nationally relevant again. Did DOOLEY ever have us competitive against Florida, Alabama, and Georgia? At least now we can see the progress and see the improvement from year one and two until now. Jesus Christ, we could go 11-1 this year and half of you would call for Jones to be fired for the one loss. Grow up or cheer for another team who's coaching hire you approve of.

Wish we played in the ACC. We would probably be undefeated right now.

Can't compare an ACC team to the SEC.
