Butch has lost the team

Truth is that in spite of our discontent... UT probably has to lose a couple more in the regular season before Jones is in any kind of real trouble. However that IS a distinct possibility vs Vandy and UK. Unlike UT, UK is getting better and UT no longer has enough DT's to stand up to their OL.

Use that excuse in year 1 or 2.... not year 4. He's had time to recruit. He's had time to develop. He's had time to figure out why UT's injury rates are higher than everyone else's. He's had time to figure out that his O scheme doesn't work.

Jones is not SEC caliber. That's all. And the sooner folks like you realize that.... the sooner it gets fixed.

May need a new start. The new AD may lay down the hammer. Agree this offense doesn't work. May have to take a step back again to move forward.

Butch hasn't lost the whole team. #39 still believes in him.

I believe that Dobbs believes in Butch's system. So much so that he is afraid to buck it. I believe if Dobbs bucks the system and wins, Butch benches him. Butch has lost this team due to his pigheadedness with Dobbs.
Good try and maybe a degree of truth but while we are entitled to our opinion let me add that it's the whole offensive scheme that every opponent quickly fiqures out. That's why Hurd isn't gaining yardage. That's why Dobb's doesn't have time to set his feet. Whatever our opponents have fiqured out they are all copying one another and it has to be frustrating trying to lead this offense because you never know what to expect or from where. That freak fumble caused by Fils-Aime cost us the game or played a pivotable role due to the next few plays where Warrior got tricked due to the recievers crossing on the TD pass. All in all though I'd say the offense is both tired and frustrated knowing they have the ability but the staff refuses to accept the fact that opposing defenses have our number.

I wonder if Butch was told Mahoney and Debord had to go and he then cried and said if my friends have to leave then i'm taking my ball and going home lol.

I hate to say it but the effort last night was very reminiscent of 2012 Vandy when Dooley lost the team. The difference being South Carolina isn't nearly as good as Vandy was that year so it wasn't a complete blowout. Couple all the disappointment with that fan begging Kiffin to come back after the Bama game and geez, I'm ready for this season to be done.

Perhaps the two go hand in hand.

After watching Kelly in his limited carries, it sure looks like they're not giving the RB most capable the most chances.

Maybe the players feel like there's a lot of positions where the best player isn't playing. QB comes to mind.

I have to agree with this, Dobbs has given his all but he is not an SEC caliber QB. Hurd has disappointed me since day 1his freshman year. Overrated is a good terminology.. It appears seniority matters most on this team. I read a post earlier that says that he thinks the players like Butch but we need players and coaches that respect and fear Butch kinda like the players and coaches at Bama. But what do I know, I'm just another armchair QB

Yep. Very easy to beat our offense. Stack the box and have the DBs drop back 8 yards and wait. If opposing defenses don't respect the deep ball you're screwed.

Said this exact same thing last night. When Moseley got that penalty, Butch was yelling, and Mosley just strolled on by. Looked like there was no respect there.

The players see through his sales pitch. Recruiting will drop. The wins will drop. Time to cut bait.

Yep

Its downhill if the Admin dont take control and fast

Its evident something has been wrong all year and it could come from how Jones handled the offseason debacle

I'm afraid this is whats going on. These guys see Butch is a joke and not the real deal. I don't understand the logic in keeping him around for next year. If nothing else, he has proven to be too stubborn and not learn from mistakes.

There is no doubt that the loss of several team leaders has had a negative impact. I believe it contributed to the a&m loss. Bama just drubbed a tired beat up team.

After the BW, and getting a couple of players back, there was far more talent on our team than SC has on theirs. There was no excuse for the way this game played out. Our OL has been pushed around like they are HS players all season. Hurd has been used in a scheme that will only net him 2 or 3 yards on an average play. Our wide outs are used more for blocking than providing any type of down-field threat to loosen the box. Dobbs has had his legs amputated by the offensive game calling. Our DB's get burnt on every downfield pass play.

Our problem is coaching.

Incomprehensible

LMAO you do not have a clue what is actually and factually going on. You cant just vomit this stuff out like it's truth and expect nobody to call you in it.

Let's stop blathering about stuff we know nothing about. And Jones is not going to be fire. Very disappointing loss but let's not act like idiots.

Nice slice. Swain just said there is a special team meeting tonight as several players have quit the team. Hope Kong Bo isn't 1 of them. Butch may be in trouble...which means dumpster fire for recruiting etc.

Really hope we can pull it together for 9 and 3...then get a real offense next year. Don't need a complete reset and the 4 years of misery thay comes with it

Idk about you, but I think this game felt a lot like the Arkansas game last year. I remember thinking after that game that the team may have lost faith, but we all saw what happened towards the end of the season. So lets reserve judgement for a little bit...

There were plenty of issues yesterday, but a lot of that falls on Dobbs. The turnovers were on him and as we know this team does as Dobbs does...when he is on fire we look unstoppable, and when he struggles we look inept.
