So he's giving his press conference right now, looks like he'll be coaching this weekend.
Care to name your vaunted source now?
I don't know if I should name him but I'll tell you that he is a solid journalist and a great person. I still believe what news he gave me last night but I think they moved the goalposts on this announcement.
He's a talented writer who helped get a VFL back on the team when he (the player) was unfairly blackballed by the University. If you do a little research you can see who I am talking about. The thing is, writing is only one of the things the guys does well and he has zero reason to exaggerate or impress.
As we approach 5 pm, I guess I'm going to have join the list of folks who has bad information. Lesson learned. Sorry folks. Hope I didn't give of the impression that I was intentionally misleading you.
I'll be taking on all comers at the Waffle House and, because I was wrong, first head shot is free (two for one on the body blows). Bring your kids. Mine will be watching from inside and their mama is giving out balloons.
Alright guys, believe it or not I might have some relivant info here. Don't ask me why but Finebaum was on in the background while I was doing other stuff adn they were talking about how Jimmy Sexton was the linchpin in the MAC firing. he's the one that worked the negotiation for Mac's exit. So what if Butch is still here because Sexton was tied up with Mac's exit at Florida and was not available to Currie? Just speculating here.
Despite what you might believe or want to believe, you don't just look at a coach and go "You're Fired!". this isn't Trumpworld. It's an agreement between many, many parties sitting at the table.

I said this earlier that I thought he was waiting on Sexton to get freed up to negotiate on his behalf. And given the time line that Sexton was tied up in Gainesville yesterday that Currie decided to wait another week vs. trying to scramble to get things together midweek
