Maybe they accelerated things after McElwain was fired and UF began their coaching search. Maybe they didn't want to fire a guy on his day off (Currie had been seen deep in thought lately, stating to anyone who will listen that what happened to Craig in Friday was a tragedy).

I believe he will be let go Monday and the press conference release was because they are scrambling and needed to put out something to buy time, knowing that he could step down then or they could issue a change of plans early Monday morning, which is looking more and more unlikely as it's almost 7 . I have guessed they would do this by 9 a.m. This has just been my guess based on the growing discontent and the hope that there are still people there ho can discern what is best.

For weeks UT fans have been stirring. Pissed. Threatening to be done. Threatening to not show up.

There has been nothing from the admin. Nothing. As if nothing is happening. Butch Jones talk is doninating radios, tv, social media and literally nothing from UT.

I can understand they haven't go to lengths of a press conference to voice their support for Jones....but not even a short statement? Nothing?

The fan base is up in arms. Going crazy. UT dropping game after game and nothing?

I'm thinking Currie has his mind made up. I think he knows he won't fire Butch. Not this year.

Unfortunately UT will be led by Butch in 2018. At least.....
