Butch being wrongfully accused............

If you watch the video over and over like on 247 there is no way Butch said what he's being accused of.

Look, I'm not sold on Butch....but this crap is ridiculous.

That motion he is doing is probably a kick safe sign.

I know people hate Butch and I've been extra critical myself.

But, this is just an unwarranted accusation...

Dream on!

Butch is a better politician than Hillary or Donald!!!! He always pulls the rabbit out of the hat!

I should grow balls cause I said I and other can read his lips? Solid logic from the ones crying on Butch's behalf. Piss poor attempt at an insult especially given it made no sense to use it there.

Actually, it was a really good attempt at an insult. Sure got you crying... get over yourself.

Wow! This thread is filled with 'tards. Butch said it, the booing fans deserved it. He probably should have kept it private, but sometimes people need to hear the truth. He is beginning to act like someone that isn't enjoying his job and has a foot out the door. That is the "fans" doing! Be critical and hold him accountable, but be smart about it. Booing for a FG being up 35-0 against a team that wouldn't likely score is ludicrous.

He's easy to blame. Not saying he is guilty, but when you spend the entire game shouting at refs, losing your cool and running your mouth, instead of coaching, people will keep poking him. He's unprofessional and doesn't have control of the gameday situation.

Working the refs is simply an attempt to get the ref to rethink his call in hope that the next one will go your way as well as letting the players know you have their back. Something most all coaches know and do..

I'm crying over it? Haha. Gosh you probably struggle with the most basic of comprehension on a daily basis if that is the conclusion you're deductive reasoning led you to.

Who cares even if he did say that. Better than no emotion at all. I'd rather have an a-hole coach who wins than a nice guy who loses. Works for Bama. Hopefully he channels that anger toward getting the boys ready.

Kills me how many people find something like this to cry about.
Anyone that has had a job more then two days has said this on Monday morning or Friday evening.

Kind of like the people crying because fans booed poor ole Lyle.

Whether or not this board realizes it, Lyle is employed by the fans who donate money, buys the season tickets, comes to games and buys the over priced hotdogs and cokes.

If the product he is putting on the field is subpar then people will stop coming, stop donating, stop buying tickets and overpriced Neyland food and drinks.

There are 4.1 million reasons why Lyle needs the fans more than the fans need Lyle.

Didn't we just rid ourselves of what many considered a whiney, crybaby, spoiled RB? Now we are being confronted with a head coach apparently displaying some of the same symptoms. Some say he said it, others disagree and speak of being thin-skinned and sensitive. I didn't boo and don't understand the play call to be of that much importance considering the lead and the non-conference opponent. For a coach to be even aware of it enough to publicly comment on it shows where his head is at. He's paid to coach and develop the most talented players he can get and win games. Booing by fans caught up in a football game is generally considered common,(it happens all the time), and most coaches don't even pay it any mind. This wasn't even an emotionally tense game and I guess some fans were actually bored by the lack of competition so I don't understand the matter from either the fans or the coaches perspective. Yes it would have been good to practice "a two-point conversion" basically but what if you have a trick play? you don't want to expose it. Everybody but me loses in this matter for even allowing it to become a topic and especially the coach for even publicly acknowledging he was aware of the boo's. It's laughable that we don't have better topics to blog about.

Actually, he is not. Not even sort'a.

He commented because he was asked about it. The whole story line was created by the media. You wan't to blame someone for it being out there - you need to find the media member that made the big deal out of it.

Watched much football lately? CBJ could donate a million dollars to our favorite charity and we'd accuse him of be stingy!!! It is DEFINITELY out of control around here and even his walk is being lambasted...,

Doesn't really matter at this point. Butch lost half the fanbase when he lost to SC. Unless we back into ATL and beat Bama, the negative stories will continue into next year.

If anyone left the fan base because he lost to South Carolina ...guess what... captain obvious here..., then they were not fans!!!!

Yeah ok let the money bucket start emptying when fans stop going to games and see what happens.

Just ask Phil what happens when Neyland starts emptying

That's something completely different. He doesn't work for you. You don't employ him.

Keep booing 55 point victories, and you'd better hope he never leaves because the fans aren't making UT a very appealing job to whomever will be replacing him.

I think the better ones to ask is the fans who called for his head, then after a year of Dools they was crying wanting Phil back.

Your up big on a FCS team and your fans boo you and your team over a FG. Pure BS!

Your post needs to be liked 4.1 million times.

Seriously ppl haven't forgotten botching the east in yr 3 and also the poor thing that happened in S.C. potentially botching the east again in yr 4. Injuries had nothin to do with 7 turnovers by our stars at a &m, costly penalties, not using Kelly more at SC.
