How do you feel about Butch Jones

Very disappointing. Makes it hard to believe Jones will ever get it done if he couldn't win the SEC East with this team. Injuries hurt us badly, but losing to SC and Vandy is beyond inexcusable.

I look at our coordinators and the team on the field and ask this: what do we work on during the week? It certainly doesn't look like football is part of our preparations.

Objectively speaking here:

He stabilized the program after Dooley. He came in with bad recruiting and took us to a stable 8-4.

However, there are some things that reek in his program this year:

-Unprecented injuries after firing S&C coach
-Atrocious defense with his new hire
-Allowing the "Hurd" situation to go on longer than it should
-Going from one of the best turnover ratio teams that is also least penalized to the worst in one year
-Struggled against practically everyone - this coming off a season where "Butching it" became a media phrase in 2015

Coaches shouldn't be looked at as we look at players. They are paid A LOT OF MONEY to do a job. Butch has done his; he stabilized us. Now it's time to can him and find the next guy that can move us up a few rungs, because it obviously isn't Butch.

Yeah, you should say sorry. You've been blasting guys who could see what you either couldn't or refused to. At least you're here to mea culpa. Most of the ass wipes who constantly start threads decrying any Vol fans who have been saying there are issues don't have the character to do what you just did. Congrats.

Honestly not sure. Definitely have no confidence at the moment, but there is something bothering me. Everyone is aware that we've scored enough points to win a few of these games, but the defense flat out failed.
I agree with the concept that the head coach is responsible for his hires but we all supported hiring the number 2 rated defensive coordinator in the country. Jones made some head scratching decisions tonight and I make no excuses for that, but we still should have beat their ass, had we been even mediocre on defense.

I guess if everyone says fire him, you'll get no objection from me. But I still would love an answer as to how a highly rated defensive coordinator, turns out such a horrible defense.

I accidentally hit neutral on him. I have defended him for the simple fact that I thought change again just sits you back but after the SC game and now this. He has to go. There is still talent here. I personally would offer Dan Mullen.

It's called a meltdown. It was a regular occurrence in '08, '09, '10, '11, and '12. Might want to get used to it...

This is by far his worst season as a head coach. And it couldn't have come at a worse time. While as a fan I want him gone. I can understand that hell be back. If he doesn't win the SEC East next year and make the sugar bowl, he has to go.

We are more then likely going to be very down next with all the departures. THIS was our year to win the east, and we freaking blew it.

I suspected it might be a high scoring game. Whenever you cam only score 3 points in the 2nd half aganst vandy though. Something is definitely wrong. I assume Butch will be here next year regardless. If he wants to keep his job beyond that major changes needs to be made.
