Do you still support Butch Jones after the Florida game

Honestly we should have beat Oklahoma and Florida this year and Florida last year.

Yes ma'am , and both teams as well as future opponents "should be" scared of The University of Tennessee Volunteers.
We could have made a huge statement this year that could have quite possibly chased Saban back to Miami (retirement not coaching) and made CBJ force to be reckoned with.
But nah. Arky has so much confidence now that They share it with Kentucky and Vandy, Chubb will have a very long but short highlight reel against us. Richt may actually get into the SEC conference title game this year, and win it!
Ole Miss can win the west, if they don't LSU would be in the playoffs.

If UT would've emerged victorious against OU and tonight, a lot of programs would've been affected without even playing us.
Yeah, so.. Go Big Orange.

Get his ass outta here. Give him a marketing job, and let him be a recruiting coordinator somewhere cause the dumb SOB can't coach! **** him! Go VOLS!

Exactly, we should offer $5 mill for Gruden and the hire alone will pay off after a big bowl game in season 1

If you really go in depth, more students would also come to UTK if we had an NFL caliber coach and it would pay off

If Alabama could do it we can definitely do it

After you grudenites looked like such idiots way back when the false rumors were rampant, I can't believe you are going back for more. Forget it. He's never coming. Quit dreaming.

I'm proud to have such articulate fans that can formulate a well reasoned argument. Thanks for your insight

To be fair, there is something to be said for brevity. It could be argued that he has succinctly encapsulated Lyle's je nais said quoi.

Just goes to show the IQ of all you VN coaches.... this lose sucked I hate It but I've played the game and coached the game you all need help!!

Sure thing coach. I guess we can take solace in the fact that we scored 27 on UF and were competative. Winning doesnt matter, its all about moral victories.

But but but, we're working to improve 1% each and every day! LOL

Like many posters are saying, the slick talk is over. The play on the field does the telling. Just can't fiqure how we are talented enough to get these two score leads and blow 'em in the last 10 min. It has to do with conservative play calling with the clock in mind. The clock is no friend of CBJ's. He has to stay aggressive for the entire 60 minutes on both sides. I personaly am not watching anymore shows, videos, etc... dealing with UT football, except the games on Saturday. I, like many, bought into this overblown hype BS and am kicking my arse for it. Not from Mo. but "show me." talk is cheap and if he could coach as well as he talks we'd be on top.

Yes. We were in position to win. If we made that fg this thread wouldn't exist

We were in a real good position to win this game and OU, but another bad managed second half took us right out of position to win and put us in a position to lose. Should have never come down to having to make a field goal.

I still support him, but we've seen enough to notice a trend. He had as good/similar (or better) talent last year and this year to beat Fla and didn't. Same with Oklahoma this year. He lost all 3 games. Usually, in tight games coaching will win or lose you the game. It has lost us all 3 games.

I'm waiting until next year to make my final decision, but I'm not happy nor should anyone be right now. However, I think that if you replaced him after this year it wouldn't be good. He has done well in recruiting. It'll be put up or shut up next year.

If I thought UT would cough up $$$$$$ to get Chip Kelly and bring Peyton in to coach the quarterbacks I would disagree with you.

I voted no because I'm no longer a fan of Butch but this is not the year he gets fired. Next year....

At least he's filled the cupboard (OL withstanding) for the next coach.

A 55-yard FG when he hasn't even tried one from 50 yards before? Yeah, that is a position to win...

Being up by 13 in the 4th quarter is in position to win. Blowing 2 games with double-digit leads in the 4th quarter is not in a position to win.

This year FBS schools are 188-3 when leading by double digits in the 4th quarter. Two of those losses are ours.

But hey, according to you...we were in position to win...to me, Florida had us right where they wanted us.
X2

If you would learn how to use the right tense of words and punctuation maybe the AD will hire your genius ass to be the head football coach.

I voted yes because I can't go through another coaching change. Everyone knows UT wouldn't go after a big name. Go cheap is their strategy. We are destined to be a 7-5, or 8-4 program

I agree with this but Hart needs to get a spine and force him to get rid of some of those asst coaches starting with Debord and the LB and OL coaches

From 55 yards with our kicker. He tried twice. It was out of his range. CBJ blows another one just like the last one. :lolabove:
Was not out of the kickers range. The ball was halfway up the upright, just missed to the right.

Distance also effects accuracy
The statement I was responding to said the attempt was out of the kickers range which means it was too far away for him to make it. If that was the case it would have fallen short of the goal post. Accuracy was never part of this equation.
