Butch - “Offensive Issues Are Due To Players Not Executing.”

Execution was the reason the toss back trick play didn't work... The receivers didn't even attempt to run a route.

Which comes back to coaching right ? If you coach and teach the plays correctly the players will execute the plays correctly....

Who's to say that Jones is not a good special teams coach? He's been heavily involved with special teams since coming here, and special teams has been one of the few highlights of his teams.

Really?
We have had two great athletes in Sutton and berry.
And a punter that throws a mean leg. Beyond that we haven’t done crap.
Has he coached up ole medley?
Stop the nonsense.
The canary from Charlie Brown can coach a better football game.

I wish Butch would man up and accept responsibility for his terrible coaching. Trying to shift the blame to the players makes my blood boil to an unhealthy degree.

Listening to the press conference.

Blames his players for not executing in his sh*t show of an offense.

The players aren’t the problem, it’s his philosophy that he refuses to step away from.

I’m tired of the BS excuses.
The walls are closing in

That is tough to hear him say and what I believe to be the problem with the whole program. He at least needs to be taking co-ownership.

bUTch is an embarrassment. Not too long ago I was chastised on VN for this blasphemy, but now it has become too obvious for even the die hards to ignore.

Butch is smart. Since half time of the Georgia game he has been trying to get fired. Stupid comments, stupid coaching decisions, just plain stupid in every aspect.

He is a man that is calling everyone's bluff. He is giving us all the bird and saying "screw you". He is content to run the program into the ground and daring the university to fire him.

So at this point it's a mexican standoff. The fans are caught in the middle of a stubborn administration and a lame duck coach. It's gonna be a brutal November.

At least ole Dooley was witty.

Dooley is a guy you'd definitely have a beer with.

Butch is the type of guy you avoid at BBQs cause he always tells the same stories about his previous successes (or lack of). Like one of the first things he said when he was hired was "well, I was my wife's 3rd choice too" or something along those lines. He's got a defeatist attitude, yet he's still full of himself. Not a particularly interesting or charming guy.

Doesn't matter to me either way as long as he's not here. I just know with the good ole boy network of coaches, it wouldn't surprise me at all for him to land a NFL job.

Why? You make a player go out to the media and apologize for his actions but yet he can't take ownership of any mistake he's made here. Just like the Vandy game last year when he dodged the media but sent several players out to face them. He isn't a man

But they’re not even the same thing. How is purposefully flipping the bird in the face of opposing fans in any way the same as someone on the sidelines saying something that was randomly caught on camera (which is also based on debatable lip reading)? I’m not trying to defend Butch, but with the plethora of legitimate things to complain about, why keep harping on that?

He will accept responsibility when he's got that buyout confirmed. Until then it's the same jargon. Head perpetually stuck in the sand. Just a one-trick pony. I'm sure even Butch would spin a firing as him "moving on to better things".

I've defended him a lot, but I'm just done. He needs to go play the blame game somewhere grown men are expected to scapegoat kids. I.E. not at a six time National Championship winning program. Even if he truly believes it is all the kids' fault don't go parading around saying that silliness. Take your 25 mil, claim responsibility and take it on the chin like a man Lyle.

At this point why do you waste one second of life what a soon to be fired coach says and or thinks ? Like being mad at the sky

At least ole Dooley was witty.
