That's not him saying he's returning. He graduates this December not next

Ok?...he's saying...in a November interview?...that he's graduating NEXT DECEMBER? Why not say NEXT MONTH? Summation...I think you're wrong. :hi:

As much as I would like to see Cam stay,,,,,,,,,IF it is projected that he will be a first or second round draft pick then he should go. Degrees can be earned anytime after he secures his economic gains available from the NFL.

If he stays then I will be glad,, if he leaves then I will say thanks for the great effort you put forth for UT and celebrate the fact he will be a VFL.

I nearly guarantee Cam is gone, and he should go. He has proven himself as an NFL ready corner / return man.

Agree 100% Warrior and Hardman are the guys to get! WR and DB are our two biggest areas of need

Cam ain't no NFL corner yet.

I think Cam would be a late 2nd or 3rd right now. Guy is lightening fast. It would have been nice to see what he could have done on offense. Maybin i think stays for sure. He's good and only going to get better.

The article preludes the statement with "he doesn't expect he'll even have a decision to make after the season" and the article goes in to his quotes about he's worried about graduating(NEXT December, no less), and not the NFL.

I dunno, that kinda leads me to believe he's returning.

If he's not, then it's some ****ty writing by this journalist just to mislead everyone.

Biggest thing I took from it is that he was focusing on the present at the time of the article, which was November 13 with 3 games remaining.

He will now have some downtime between now and the bowl game to research his options. They will work some back channels and get a preliminary grade for him and go from there.

If he grades out as a first round pick( which I don't think he ultimately will), it's a no brainer on what he needs to do.

As a corner, Cam is at best a third rounder but his outstanding special team play makes him a higher pick. A team can draft him and get productive play while he develops as a Pro corner. Special teams, especially punt returner is such an important element in the NFL that he becomes a second rounder and probably leaves. JRM needs one more year. He is a small NFL LB and a little to slow for safety in the NFL. Even after next year he will be a third rounder at best but I do believe he will be a great pro. The kid has heart...

JoeJuan Williams. Local kid, very smart, and a 4-star safety or corner. We will lack depth next year with the loss of 2 seniors and maybe Sutton.

Cam would go in the 1st round. He has a lot of good tape. He is very consistent and rarely gets beat. When he does, you're surprised.

I selfishly want him to stay. It would be HUGE. but I would understand if he left.

I would love to have Cam back but there's a ****load of money out there with his name on it and I wouldn't blame him for taking it.

Like my other post said, that's what was being said when that article first came out. Perhaps it's wrong then. Would like too have him back, but there's a lot of money too be made in the NFL and you can still graduate. Also graduating in 2 1/2 years is hardly impossible, went to school with a few who accomplished it.

Oh and bytheway I got a degree in physics and was hired by National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics which became NASA which I retired after 25 years.

GoVols!

That sucks you are retired.

I heard NASA was finally going to land on the moon soon and not some sound stage.

I kid.

Or do I?

FWIW, if he gets info that he's at least a second rounder, I see him declaring. But that's not what he was saying in that interview. Also if he goes NFL he can still do course work...computers and stuff. :compute:

We must find a left tackle. Not sure there is one on the roster. Richmond has always played right tackle. Need to recruit a couple of high school studs or a JUCO who is ready to play.

Richmond's built for LT and has been developing there all this redshirt season. We managed to survive with a guard there. He'll be a huge upgrade. Doubt very seriously Greg Little himself would be more ready fresh out of high school. Don't get bogged down with the high school RT stuff. Every program that recruited him (including his previous commit Ole Miss with Laramy Tunsil) projected him as a LT.
