the games will still be packed ...

merchandise will still be sold ...

school coffers will still get fat with football dollars ...

with the exception of the last two west coast openers i haven't missed a game ( including bowls ) the last 3 years

this team was unprepared , unmotivated , and decidedly unimpressive - we're going back-wards ; Fulmer may be a great recruiter but he doesn't seem like the right motivator; we have the talent but cant seem to put it together

if mediocrity if your thing then sure we don't need change - this staff seems to always do just enough to hang on

the only thing i see forcing the school to do something is a loss of revenue ... otherwise just sit back and what the slow painful death of a great program

at some point someone needs to see its time for this staff to go and the only way that point gets across is when the $$$ fall

look at bama - the decision to pay saban was all based on what that program brings the school in revenue ; his salary was a drop in the bucket compare to their potential loss of revenue - at least the school had the nuts to do something

its a damn shame with the money , resources , and fanbase that we cant do better

hell i know we can do better but if there is no impetus to change why would they ?

i saw a few posts with a similar twist but was really surprised this had no responses

simple economics taught us the meaning of a dollar vote

as long as the stadium is full and the fanbase keeps lining up for ticket sales and merchandise would you change anything if you were the AD ?

i have to wonder about your theory. While it's not been intentional (and in some aspect maybe because I've been a dirt poor grad student), the amount of money I've spent on UT gear and games has gone down quite significantly. The three games I went to last year definitely saw a decline in attendance by my estimation. I'm not so sure the money isn't declining. For one thing, UT apparel stores have closed down in Knoxville recently and the big here in JC looks bare. Not because they are shopping it heavy, they just aren't stocking anything.

I have got to give it to Fulmer. He is the master of smoking mirrors. I read where Obama read his book and took away some of the key points from Fulmers Maxim.

One continues to get extensions and raises and the other may become president.
