I always wondered about Gore but seeing his post-election behavior really convinced me he would not be any better. Couple that with his need to be in the spotlight with GW, no matter that his data is off, and I completely disagree about him. Plus the guy was so smart that he avoided his home state in 2000 that could have won him the election. I'd still love to hear how Kerry would have saved us

His(Bush) public speaking is subpar for sure. But if that is your strong point, then you have no point.

Oh and I do not defend Bush much. Just know the alternative was worse.

no one said he was the best but was the better option at the time. Actually I would call Bush the least-worst option

I give the Repubs credit for having a backbone. It is not I hate Repubs I really dont like BUSH. Very different issues for me.

Not to endorse the Iraq situation because it is FUBAR but here's a list of things that would be likely if Gore were POTUS.

1. Sanctions would be weakened (they were already being loosened).

2. WMD programs likely restarted or continued depending on your perspective.

3. Oil for Food program alive and well funding #2 above.

4. Flaws in intelligence system not uncovered.

5. Continued attacks on no fly zone patrols (assuming NFZ still in existence).

6. Continued funding by SH of Palestinian suicide bombers

7. Continued violence by SH against own people.

None of this may justify Bush's actions but there would be consequences to inaction.
