Burning Bridges

At least he is another 6' 180lb. athlete. Honestly not trying to use the"we didn't want him anyway" excuse. Just saying it would sting a little more to lose a linebacker or defensive lineman.

Good luck to him at MSU.

players committing to FBS/SEC programs is a success for a HS coach. Not sure I see the humor

This. Some people's elitism is getting in their way. East has 3 D-1 committed players. Thats a big deal.

Agree.

Also isn't 6' 180lbs ATH about the most common prospect? There are probably 200 Redmonds in this years class, and I think we got about 15 of him last year... I'm failing to see why it's a big deal he committed somewhere else? Let it go, IMO.

Exactly this.

Seriously.

And this thread...Bad form to start a thread that invites the bashing of 17 year old kids.

Get a grip.

I bet you Kimbrow had no interest in the VFL program. Then coaches backed off...just my feelings on it. With the other kid - I don't think our depth chart helped.

If the kids don't want to be at UT, then forget them and move on.

Not sure I do either. If sending kids consistently to an SEC program is humorous, then I would be willing to be the one being laughed at if it means my kids are succeeding.

2.5 hrs away from home v 7 hrs away and tight with mom.

I don't know if I buy the crap about calling coaches or not, but the above is plenty reason to pick one school over another.

More like 6 hrs, but I get your point

Unless this guy is a DT or very promising Linebacker i could care less. I imagine the coaches are getting selective now , not supposed to be a huge class anyway. They're not just throwing offers out to whoever wants them now.

Exactly my point on my previous post. People gave me crap with my comment about rumors and rexvol, but this just solidifies my arguement.

Rex= rumors...??What?? No Way..Im just shocked he couldnt find a way to throw in a Fulmer jab.

from a respected poster on TOS

If true, I guess Redmond and Kimbrow can join the giggly tee hee crowd. I really believe that the staff cooled on these 2 earlier. Maybe not the character guys that we want nor a critical position of need for either. There are equal or better candidates out there we can get before Feb.
