dam I was hoping that this argument was going to go on for a few more pages. I was really getting interesting. Trying to sort out the he said she said thing. All schools have Thugs and I know nobody, but I am reading and listening. Surprised Hat not here.

I think that cops are people some good and some bad. If you want my opinion on cops look at the Vareen post.

However, it is my expierence that if the cop says it is true, and the witnesses say it is true, and the evidence says it is true, but my client says he is innocent. Well then we might need to have a come to Jesus conversation.

The articles had more than testimony from cops.

It looks like our debate is irritating the natives. I was enjoying it.

I really struggle to believe that anyone who completed enough formal education to be a criminal defense attorney would make such elementary grammar mistakes. I can't imagine how much written word must be read and studied to make it through law school. Even if you are telling the truth, you lose all credibility with mistakes like that.

I do not do the grammar police thing, because I believe someone can have valuable opinions regardless of education. Also, I am far from flawless myself. However, if you claim to be an attorney while making similar mistakes, you lose all credibility in my book.

Not tha it matters but I was one of the first members of volnation when Freak started the site. My call sign was vestvol or vestra I could not remember the name or the password so had to start anew.

I'm sorry that I do not edit my posts. I rarely type and am usually ahead of where I'm typing when I post. Maybe I should proof my posts. Thank god that I have a secretary. You are right bad grammer can make you look silly. However, I am a criminal defense lawyer. Maybe the Board of professional responsibilty should moniter this board and revoke my license.

I like to consider myself somewhat of a writer, so I notice grammar and spelling alot. You'd be surprised how awful it is from alot of very intelligent people. I work with engineers daily, and they're the worst. You know what you do, and not much else. Spell/grammar checks have really crippled people

Lol, not that I know of anyway.

It's one of my biggest pet peeves. Can't stand it, but I've grown to accept that it's not going to get any better.

a great grammar quote comes from Winston Churchill who when ask for a response to a reviewers criticism of his grammar particularly ending sentences with prepositions said "such is a pedantry of which I shall not put."
Really dictation has killed my grammar skills when typing. I ordinarily just proofread and send things out

I have learned it because my wife corrects me all the time for ending sentences with at. Like where is he at. Behind the a and the t. I am awful.

Actually I believe it's now acceptable to end a sentence with a preposition, at least in some circles

tip to professed writers....unless something has changed since my 1987 6th grade English class, "a lot" is two words.

Actually she is reading US magazine while we wait for the game. I made her read the grammar part because she is always correcting my grammar.

wants me to get off the computer where she can read perez hilton or prez or what ever.
