Bulletin Board Material

He's a hell of a coach and espicaly recruiter so I'll give him that much respect. I don't think our boy will need "bulletin board material" to be ready for this showdown.

Have you been to a Griz game lately or noticed their attendance? Trust me, the Forum is for the Tigers.

no freakin' way. I dont care what the attendence is, the Forum was not built for Tiger High, it was built for the NBA.

Get real? Dorsey has been in three incidents on Beal street in a year. He climbed on a bar in a strip joint and threw money in the air to make it rain. When asked to get down Taggert, Robinson, and Joey beat the crap out of the guy.

That is thuggery. How many games did they miss?
How about Jeremy Hunt reporting to an insurance co. that he had sixty thousand dollars in mink coats burn in his apartment. They are thugs. Cal is recruiting the kid from New Jersey that is a possible accessory to murder.

Wher did an inner city kid get money to "make it rain?", or buy mink coats?

Ask cal about Thadeus Young and Williams when he talks about getting whoever he wants in the City.
They are good but solid citizens they are not.

Taking the mistakes of a few and labeling a whole team as "Thugs" based on those actions is just ridiculous. Based on that reasoning you could label any team, high school through pro's, as a bunch of "Thugs".

However, the thug quotient with the tigers is much higher than Tennessee has ever been under pearl.
Given that I have far more class than to call 18-22 year olds "thugs," I'll simply say this Ramar Smith ended up in Knoxville because UCONN pulled the plug on him for "character issues." Being treated like that by Jim Calhoun is akin to be being shunned by Britney Spears for "sobriety issues." Also, I'm pretty sure Bruce brought Tony Passley to Knoxville and kept Major Wingate around for a season. Further, I'm pretty sure nobody is going to nominate J. Smith or Crews for Eagle Scout anytime soon.

If you think TBA and the Pratt Pavilion are a better combination of facilities than the FedEx Forum and the Finch Center, you're kidding yourself.

I was speaking more of overall facilities, rather than basketball venues. However, I've seen a few Memphis fans that would love to have a place of their own. Even if it's nice, it just wouldn't seem the same sharing a place with a pro team. Was the FedEx Forum meant to serve both purposes, or was having them play there an afterthought?

It is classless to call a 22 year old a thug?

I'm a criminal defense attorney in the nations most violent city (Memphis.) Most of the crimes committed are committed by men 18-22. Is it o.k. to call those gang members thugs sense they do not play for the tigers.

If you are involved in three violent acts in a year. The last one involving throwing large somes of money in the air then with two of your teammates beating the crud out of the bartender for asking you to get down you are a thug. If that is an unfair definition then I'm unfair.

If you were in a car during a drive-by you might be a thug.

With Major Wingate Bruce Pearl goes to the final four last year but he kicked him off the team. He did not keep him for a year.

Where would Memphis be without Dorsey or Taggert?
Would Dorsey still be playing for Pearl? After 3 violent acts.

R. Smith did not sign with UCONN because he did not make his grades. Opened his recruiting back up and chose us over UCONN and Mich. State.

Where did Dorsey get that money he was throwing in the air $7,000.00.

Make excuses but their is a reason Leslie Ballin sat behind the bench at the Arizonia game.

criminal defense attorney -- check

We can deal with world wide Wes the next post.

Wes is a friend of mine. You would be wise to tread lightly.

Who played center for Tennessee during the '05-'06 season, after failing mutiple drug tests? Pretty sure that was Major Wingate. Given that Bruce didn't toss Tony Passley for getting busted with crack, I'm pretty sure a strip club fight would not meet his criteria for dismissal.

Wingate was kicked off the team after failing two drug test. The second was before last season and he was kicked off the team. A potential final four team.

Paissley was a run off from the program. Dorsey has been violent and the matters are merely swept under the rug.

I'll ask again where did the money come from?

Without Dorsey where would Memphis be?

Oh, it's the old "it's all been swept under the rug trick." Nice job of providing verifiable facts. Wait, that's just typical rumor mill dreck. Nevermind.

What half truth or rumor have I stated? Tell me and I'll remove it.
Well, to start with, you miss Wingate's number of failed drug tests by at least two. Further, you fail to mention that it took an arrest involving the possession of crack, two fights in practice, and refusing to enter a game when ordered by the coach to get Passley tossed. Outside of that, you're on a roll.

The Forum was built specifically for the Griz.

And as nice as the facility is, it is no where near the UofM campus.
