Over the years we have had some QB's that brought special skill sets to the field. If you could build the perfect QB for the Vols who would you select and what parts of their game would you want from them.

Peyton Manning - Football IQ and pocket presence
Condridge Holloway - Athleticism and determination
Heath Shuler - Arm Strength
Tee Martin - Undefeated season
Casey Clausen - 2-1 vs the Gators

Who's next?

Todd Helton, baseball ability...

That is just so if you are making the perfect QB like a robot he can also have the ability to be an all star in two sports at least. UT would have our very own Bo Jackson.

Apparently you did not realize that Condridge was a beast in baseball, scouts would come to the Vol BB games and drool.

Andy Kelly..........the ability to win SEC c'ships(2)

Pat Ryan............the ability to come off the bench and salvage a season and later have a long pro career.

B.J. Coleman.......the ability to charm a gullible East Tenn fanbase into thinking he was a legitimate SEC caliber QB (Yeah, right).:eek:lol:

Alan Cockrill (also a baseballer)........the first real arm to line up behind center for UT (Laurecella was before my time).

I must be too young to remember Holloway....

If I were to "build" my perfect QB (which I do all the time on xbox) here's what I'd want:

• 6'4"+, 220-235lbs
• Shuler's athletic ability
• Peyton's arm, leadership, pocket pressence, intelligence (not taking anything away from Shuler)
• Casey Clausen's "unflapability" on the road (the Swamp specifically)
• Tee Martin's legs
• Crompton's porn stache.

I was kidding about one of them...

He also at least to my memory seemed to have that intangeble quality or charisma that when he was under center we had a chance to gut it out and come away with a win.

No Jeff Francis? I loved that guy. He made great decisions and was very accurate. He was also a Tennessee boy which is always a nice bonus.

I agree 100% bro! I dont know why so many people here hate on this guy and dont want him. He has crazy size, speed and a big arm. He isnt a normal dual threat, this kid could play in a pro style and play well. I think he could be a combo of Peyton, Tee and Heath with his mobility, size and arm strength.

All the media darlings on all networks are starting to realize our talent and coaching ability. They are all saying, once we get a top HS QB on campus, things will turn around quick. Thats why, whether its Cam or not, I see us taking one more QB this class because of what we've been thru the past 2 years, especially this year with this staff.

This is easy...

Take Joey Matthews and AJ Suggs and drop them in a blender. Mix on high for 30 seconds!

With all that going for him I am surprised he has not been snatched up. Is he finishing his Juco year and then going pro?
