We are purchasing a product(even the students now). The product is not what it used to be. The competition is improving. How, through making changes. Careful changes, but changes. fla hired Zook it wasn't the right fit, so they changed again. Zook's recruits though, won a NC, so they were obviously close with choice.
How many times after a timeout, or tv timeout do we have a broken play, false start, errant throw, incorrect route ran, or the inexcusable delay of game? How many have you seen ANY of our opponents have in the same situation in the same time span? Just compare our mental mistakes and prepration to ANY of our opponents it is clear we have fallen behind and the gap is growing.
If CPF stays we will only get more of the same. The fans (donors) are booing the final product, not the players. The footabll players are different than 25-30 years ago. They are recruited earlier, treated like rock stars, and given treatment and benefits that paying students would never receive. They are also held to a higher standard than other UT sports players. I would not expect to hear boos at a UT swim meet. I also would not expect to have to donate between $1,000 and $10,000-$20,000 per year for the opportunity to then buy season tickets(which went up this year) to see a swom meet.
The booers are expecting to see a better product. Not always a wins, but an abiltty to look prepared and compete against other good competition. We are neither. Other schools are doing more with as much or less funding, why can't we. You can no longer blame the offensive coor., we've tried that. It starts at the top, that's why he gets paid the big bucks. he makes it happen or it doesn't happen. It is clearly not happening now. And there is no reason to think it's going to. If you think it will explain how.
