With the talk of some staff changes taking place after the bowl game it got me to thinking about who we could hire. If you could build your own staff what would it look like? Be realistic

Head Coach: Butch Jones
Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach: Major Applewhite
Defensive Coordinator: Bob Shoop
Running Backs Coach: Robert Gillespie
Wide Receivers Coach: Kippy Brown
Tight Ends Coach: Larry Scott
Offensive Line Coach: Robbie Caldwell
Defensive Line Coach: Steve Stripling
Linebackers Coach: Tommy Thigpen
Defensive Backs Coach: Joe Tumpkin

You think Butch would actually let Major Applewhite run a diff offense?

Lincoln Riley OC instead of Applewhite whom I'm sure will go to his alma mater with Herman.

I'd be pretty elated to see Applewhite or Helfrich on our offensive staff next season. A Vol fan can dream, can't he?

Personally I would like to see Butch hire Gunter Brewer from UNC to coach receivers. That won't happy and neither will Kippy. Azzanni is there next year whether we as fans like it or not. At least the receivers were somewhat of a bright spot this season.

I got you. Malone and Jennings were for sure. Safe to say Byrd has totally outclassed Josh Smith now, which was great. Thankful for his play against UGA in 2015, but he was a scrub all year.

I'd be somewhat surprised if Major Applewhite returns to Austin. I don't believe that he left on good terms during his last stint there. I read he had an inappropriate relationship with a student trainer and had salary reduced.

Now, I could be wrong and he goes back to Austin.

Ok so, I'll try to keep this realistic... Instead of dream scenario. First off I've heard that Applewhite will not being following Herman to Texas due to his past relations with a former student and that his name was listed in some lawsuit/settlement thing. So he is on the table.

HC - Butch Jones

OC - Helfrich/Applewhite
RB - Gillespie
WR - Azzani/ Josh Gattis
TE - Morgan Turner Stanford / Jeff Banks A&M
OL - Greg Frey Indiana / Jim Turner A&M

DC - Bob Shoop
LB - Thig
DB - Terry Fair / Terry Joseph
DL - Brady Hoke / Sean Spencer

Why helfrich? He was handed a top 10 program with unlimited cash flow and ran it in the ground.

I know this isn't really contributing to the thread, but I really want Major Applewhite as OC/QB coach. Just watched a video of him mic'd up at a Houston practice and he is very enthusiastic and detail oriented. He will be a head coach one day.
