If Gasol can guard Hibbert, Hibbert can guard Gasol. And Hibbert isn't that easy to guard. He mostly uses a hook shot which the only way to alter is to actually make contact with him to throw him off balance. Jumping up to defend it won't actually do anything. And Bosh couldn't draw him away from the basket in the ECF, not enough to make a difference anyways.
Durant can't guard Lebron? Nobody can guard Durant either. He can shoot over anyone with a hand in his face and stop n pop which leaves him unguarded. The guy was the scoring champion 3 years in a row coming into this season.
I think Harden could guard Parker but if he couldn't, imagine Parker trying to guard Harden.
And I think you have Aldridge and Love confused. Aldridge carries bad teams to the playoffs as the go to guy while Kevin Love can't even get his team to .500. When Love is injured, the T'wolves winning percentage barely drops.
You say all of your guys are unguardable but I have 3 guys that combined to average 75.5 points on 47.8% from the field this season. And if you want to say Durant can't guard Lebron or Curry, then who exactly is going to guard George if Lebron is on Durant? Paul George is 6'9 and can shoot 3's. Steph Curry couldn't even alter his shot if he wanted to. I'd have to say though that Durant could guard Lebron as well as most in the NBA. So at the very least, Lebron wouldn't do anything more than he normally does.
I see no reason the team I have listed would have any less chance of winning than your roster. They're taller, a better rebounding team and I'd say a better defensive team. Curry and Love are liabilities on defense imo.
And there's a reason Cleveland had the #1 pick and Denver had the 3rd.
Also, i doubt the Pistons would have taken Darko over Lebron. But they took him over Melo
Didn't say he was a worse player. I said he was a worse pick and he is if you ask me.
Bowie was chosen before 3 hall of famers.
And not just 3 hall of famers but the greatest player of all-time.
Drafting Sam Bowie #2 over Michael Jordan, John Stockton and Charles Barkley is worse than drafting Darko Millicic #2 over Melo, Bosh and Wade.
I'd take my chances with your only matchup being Paul George. And you are absolutely crazy if you think Hibbert can guard Gasol away from the basket. Gasol forces Hibbert's to lose his strength (altering shots down low).
You really want to argue about Aldridge and Love? Let's compare all of Kevin Love's teams to the one Aldridge had this year that didn't make the playoffs. Aldridge was the go to guy one time on a team that made the playoffs.
I didnt see Bowie play, but a lot of people who did think he was really good, just got injured too early
I think you're crazy to act like Gasol would make a difference against Hibbert. They're virtually identical. You can ask anyone and they'll tell you that there is no big difference. So it's weird for you to think Gasol has any sort of real advantage.
And when we're comparing Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge... if Kevin Love was that good, it shouldn't matter who his teammates are. Dwight Howard took a bunch of garbage to the finals while beating Lebron and Kevin Love can't even propel his team to .500. Like I said, the T'Wolves record isn't that much worse without Love and that's saying something because it was already bad with him. He stat pads on a bad team and doesn't seem to make them that much better.
Plus the idea that nobody can guard anybody on your team is also crazy and acting like Paul George is the only mismatch. Aldridge and Durant can score on anybody, especially a bad defender like Kevin Love. And Harden also has a mismatch over Tony Parker offensively. There is just no way the team you posted would be hands down better imo. beating them 6 to 4 out of 10 would be best case scenario and it could easily go the either way.

Gasol forces Hibbert from the paint. You really telling me Hibbert can guard Gasol one on one from 20 feet out? That's not his game. And even if it was, I completed my purpose of getting Hibbert out of the pain on D. I got Tony Parker and LeBron James that live in the paint and Gasol forces the one guy who can alter their shots away from the basket. That's the advantage.
