If you could build a team using any current player not including Lebron or Durant, what would your starting line up be?

G Stephen Curry or Chris Paul
G James Harden
F Paul George
F Al Horford or Lamarcus Aldridge
C Roy Hibbert or Dwight Howard

I kind of wrote off Derrick Rose and Kevin Love because of their injuries.

And the reason I excluded Lebron and Durant is because you'd be stupid not to pick them. Which means 2/5 of everyone's team is already made up. That's no fun :p

One game, one series, one season, or starting a franchise?

That's a good question.

I kind of went with starting a franchise which is why I went with players on the younger side.

I'd say a season or franchise at least. And you can slide positions around too. I almost considered Curry at SG with CP3 at PG and was like oh yeah... Harden is awesome lol. or someone bigger like Paul George could play shooting guard too. I watched him contain Rose his rookie season when they put him on Rose in the playoffs. I guess if you want to have 5 centers, go for it lol.

2. Avery Bradley - Match him with whoever the opponent puts at the point.
5. Marc Gasol - In my 2/3 Zone, I'd leave him in the middle
3. Manu Ginobli - Plays the right wing of the Zone
4. Kobe Bryant - Plays the left
1. Stephen Curry - Leave him out against their 2 guard.

6th man would be 4/5 Roy Hibbert

If you can score 60 on that squad you'd be lucky.

What I didnt score in fast break points, I'd make up for in swing passing to one of the 3 killers I have out on the perimeter. If I get stuck with going against Man coverage, we'd pick and roll off Roy Hibbert.

Base Defense would be 2/3 Zone , then box and 1.

I certainly am serious. Hell, the last game I watched (Pacers/Heat) I saw the four time MVP and his teammates look like a jr high time against a basic 2/3 zone for 13 minutes straight.

If King James and the "dream team" cant beat it, why wouldnt I use it?

5 - Marc
4 - Al
3 - George
2 - Curry
1 - Paul or Parker

Can I also choose like whoever the hell I want for my bench? Obviously not "lebron kd off the bench" but can I spoil myself some? With permission, will edit.

Edit: Not sure how ridiculous my bench is allowed to be, but I want Rubio, Jimmy Butler, Danny Green, Cousins... LeBron KD and Magic. All set.

Because its effective when a team is struggling shooting. If that is your primary defense in the NBA, you will get eaten alive.

Why would I ever play man D with that lineup when I have two of the best outlet passers in the league and two of the quickest instinctive guards on the permiter? I'd take that group and turn every game I played in to a freaking track meet.

Catch me if you can and score when I let you.

you couldn't plan man with that lineup, that's for sure.

So you would play a 2/3 zone to slow the game down? That makes zero sense.

Go for it loool

I was thinking up actual bench players had something the lines of Nate Robinson, Marcus Thornton, Carl Landry and Javale McGee. But if you're going by age and actual bench players it would make sense to go Eric Bledsoe, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter etc. since they're young will be around for years.

It's whatever lol

Wouldnt want to. Never liked Man coverage to begin with. You get one guy with an issue and it goes to crap. I dont trust the individual.

You just said you wanted to play a 2-3 and then you said you would make it a track meet. That's not the purpose of the 2-3. It's the opposite.

I don't agree with that assessment, but Kobe at the 4 rules out any chance of playing man.

PG - Kyrie Irving (21)
SG - James Harden (23)
SF - Tobias Harris (20)
PF- Anthony Davis (20)
C - Nikola Vucevic (22)

I was trying to keep the team as young as possible.

I was tempted to take Steph Curry (25)

1. John "Hannibal" Smith
2. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock
3. Templeton "Faceman" Peck
4. Bosco Albert "B. A." Baracus
5. Frankie "Dishpan Man" Santana

If your team has a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can sign these guys.

I also like this line-up:

1. CP3
2. Steph Curry (I know his is more a PG, but I would run him at the 2, because I am foolish)
3. Paul George
4. David Lee
5. Marc Gasol
