Buffalo getting a new QB for this year.

Have we really fallen this far, that we care who is the quarterback in one of the "gimme" OOC games?

I don't think it'll have much of an impact. Both games should be a win

Whether its cinci or buffalo the outcome will be the same...A Big Orange beat down!

Interesting story, this will be a good test for Wilcox to work out more tools against the spread. Shouldn't be a hard test, but any time we can face a different style executed by an experienced player or team, it only makes us better able to handle harder opponents later.

As the poster below said, if you don't care, don't comment. I just found it interesting. I didn't say that I thought we were in trouble because of it. I just said I thought it was interesting because it involved two opponents that we play this year.

Agreed.

Also, not sure how my thread constitutes having "fallen."

If you don't think that "gimme" opponents matter, ask Wyoming and Memphis.

I didn't care anything about UAB QB this time last year either.

Very good point, I was at that game and my whole section was screaming, "Really, it's UAB". It was pretty funny and humbling at the same time.

Either way I think we will be ready for Buffalo and it should not matter much, it takes more than a qb to win a game.

It'll have an impact on if Buffalo scores 7 with no garbage-time TDs or 14 with a garbage-time TD.

It's a less interesting version of last year with Masoli. But it's a slow news period so what's the harm in posting it?

we always suck against good spread QBs no matter how lowly ranked their teams are

Those were against Chavis and Monte. Neither knew how to stop the spread. We have a young coach who knows how he just needs the players to do it.

well, whatever the case, mobile or option QBs always give us trouble...UAB's QB gave us fits last year...Navy comes to mind...hopefully Wilcox will do better against this type of offense
