My buddy is getting married on 9/18 in the afternoon during the Fla game.

Can you believe how inconsiderate this is? This guy is not a Tenn fan, but I'm inclined to punch him in the nose.

What do you think?

I have DVR, but it would be fun to see him standing there at the altar with a bloody nose. :vava:

Just put a flat screen up behind the wedding party, then at the reception projection screen + TN v FLA game = glory.

Last wedding that I was "forced" to go to during the FL game...I snuck out and went to the car lol

If you are not in it, skip it and send a nice gift...then punch him after the honeymoon for such a mistake.

Explain to him she's not that good looking.

Or suggest postponing the wedding to the first day of Spring, a la Geogre Costanza.

you have to make a choice my friend....and i think you know what you have to do..i mean you all had a good run but sometimes people just grow apart...tennessee vols are forever... hahah

either that or get flo tv...watch tv anywhere anytime...its pretty sweet

My sister's birthday party happens during the florida vs ut game every year. Pisses me off every year.

Whether he's a UT fan or not, if the wedding is taking place in the state of Tennessee he should know better. Unless you're in the wedding, just send a gift and don't go.

My wife planned our wedding for an off week. And now we celebrate our anniversaries based on the closet off weekend to October 14 as well.

He's not only off-base himself, he's obviously marrying the wrong women too. Feign spontaneous, but transient paralysis. He'll never know the difference.

I would not attend unless it was my sister or a second marriage for one of my parents. Even if I was asked to be best man, I would flat out refuse. Of course, I'm probably older than the op and have probably been in alot more weddings.

My wife and I are expecting a child on the 23rd which is UAB game. Even though it's not the high caliber game, my wife asked the dr on our last visit if we could postpone the birth (csection) for a day at least.........i feel lucky to have her :)

My now wife then girl friend and mom reserved my now father in laws church 19 years ago on Saturday 12th @ 4 o'clock. I told them if that is the only day we can get the church and you want me to be there you better move the time 10 am. Her mom said, “who gets married at 10 am?" I said " who gets married on Saturday especially when it's Florida. The wedding went off without a hitch. We made the game. We lost then went on the honeymoon. My wife knew what she was getting into..orange blooded...GO VOLS!!!!

I made my wife set our wedding on the off week also. Brilliant...until the anniversary falls on a Saturday.

I got married at 4pm and it was the latest possible time. The church was almost 400yrs old and had no artificial lighting

It might be his 1st, but not his last if it goes the way of our society. Skip this one and catch the next few. :)
