I laugh at the sign.....then I exit off I40 at the Bucksnort off ramp and enter the big porn store located there, good times.

:eek:lol:
My Dad went to high school their. My Grandparents have a Cedar Grove address but they are between Cedar Grove, Leach and Terry.

I play golf in Cedar Grove a lot.

Alright, i'm finished going off topic.

The name used to refer to local wildlife. Now it refers to a rolled-up dollar bill and cut-up oxycontin.

The name originates from a man named Buck who in years past had a still near there. People would say let's head over to Buck's for a snort and that's how the town got it's name.

stopped in Bucksnort to get gas one time on the way to arkansas and laughed when I saw the name of the town and felt compelled to buy a t-shirt at the gas station to forever remember the experience

Dutch Mantel billed himself as being from Bucksnort. Myself I enjoy the surroundings of Mudhole Tn!

There is also a rainbow trout ranch and I also suggest the diner there if you like good old greasy southern food.

Used to go horseback riding there as a kid. They had a pretty nice set up. Trail ride all day, then they had dinner and entertainment in the evenings.

There are many names that are not on the map anymore for little towns and communitites. My personal favorite is Neadmore, TN.

I grew up in Henderson. Jack's Creek BBQ was a staple. I try to get some of it every time I go back to visit my folks.

I grew up in Lexington so I still bring Scott's back myself. Haven't had any Jacks's Creek BBQ in a long, long time.
