I have been to Alabama once. Now, I have seen redneck stuff around everywhere, but there? It is kind of a theme. I never thought I would see a masonic lodge marked by a Coca-Cola sign, but they had one. And the convenience stores? "My cousin, Vinny" was pretty spot on. The presence of excessive cellulite was very noticeable, and yes, they thought they were sexy. Now, have we got some of that up here? Yeah, but it is a way of life down there. Might go fishing down there, (I hear Guntersville is great) but otherwise? Nah!

I like about 5 miles north of Guntersville in Albertville. Both are pretty decent places IMO. There are some crazy spots though.

I know am a old timer but does anyone recall the cinder block bar just outside of Legion field the Tide & the Tiger ? Just sold can beer and had several portable John's set up outside the on game day. Only charged a buck each time to use. Pure Alabama.
