New Bubonic Plague Cases Send Mongolian Region Along Russian Border On Lockdown

The brothers are believed to have caught the disease while skinning and cleaning the marmot. Typically its spread through fleas which live off of infected rodents. Health authorities in the region have long warned of the dangers of eating marmot due the potential of catching the plague. From time to time individuals in the region have caught the plague by eating raw marmot meat.

I think a country with 1,000,000,000+ people is fully fertile.

Yeah and that ain't counting how many "lost" babies since the early 1990's when they started policing the genetic output from conception to birth......

Population control on the highest level. Still, a billion plus people.......

Luckily there are antibiotics that work on the Bubonic Plauge these days. Still, the wet markets over there have got to go. How much more evidence do they need?

It's been present in the rodent populations (such as prairie dogs) in the West (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, California, etc.) since the early 1900s.

This is very true. I learned this by watching Monsters Inside Me. Cases are typically only found in rural areas.
