BTO’s Georgia Postgame Report

Me and my dad attended last nights game. I believe this brings the streak to forever, as I don't recall missing a game at UGA when Tennessee visits. We are lifelong Georgia residents so it's a nice short drive to the arena. Official attendance was reported as 6,139 out of the 10,000 capacity at Stegeman Coliseum. I believe someone is lying. If there was 6,139 fans in there, I'll cut my right arm off. There was a lot more orange in there than red.

Tennessee took care of business last night and I thought I heard the attendance was 3,000 over the radio as Kesling and Bertlecamp remarked how much orange was in the building and it seemed like a dead arena on the television last night.

One of the funniest things was right before tip, The UGA PA announcer was trying to get the arena to do the Georgia cheer or whatever and absolutely none of the UGA fans participated. Tennessee hit that early 2nd half run and the Tennessee fans were taking over that arena. My apologies, I shouldn't call it an arena. That place is outdated and needs to be renovated ASAP.

Georgia is more of a football school and probably just views basketball as a speed bump to spring practice.

I think Stegman Coliseum is currently the oldest arena in the SEC.

Nevermind, it's the second oldest. Vanderbilt has been there since 1952.

I saw a game at Coleman Coliseum back when I was in college around 2002. It is bad, too. I just looked it up and Stegeman is 4 years older than Coleman. For 2 strong athletic programs, that is kind of embarrassing.

For the ones bashing Tom Crean , I actually respect him more after last nights game . Did you all not see the hug he gave Rick at the end of the game , the guy is probably more classy than he is giving credit for .

I don't know. I've read some stories about how Crean apparently acts behind the scenes. I'm not sure if any of it is true, you never knows these days, but someone on here mentioned a week or two ago that Georgia is apparently trying to get him fired with cause.

If auburn loses and we beat Arkansas does that mean we win the Conference since we would have a split with 3 and beat auburn

We would be co-champs with Auburn and UK for the regular season title (if Auburn loses tonight and UK wins Saturday). But for the SEC tourney, we would be the 1 seed holding tie breakers over UK and AU.

We have now matched the SEC win total from the 2017-2018 co-SEC Championship season. We were co-champs with Auburn that year too. Just sayin…
We’ll need one more to catch them this year. Let’s hope they get it on Saturday!
