BTO’s Kentucky postgame report

Also can I add for all the purging ESPN did, why in the blue hades can they not purge that fossil Vitale. Holy hell is he annoying.

I'd rather have Lou Holtz doing commentary.

His name is on a huge charity! He is synonymous with March madness! He doesn’t rape young interns! And he’s a “P-T-P a PRIME TIME PLAYER BABY YEA!”.

Thanks for these postgame reports BTO!

Considering expectations, it would've been a dream season just to make the postseason, but to be in the hunt for a 2/3 must be considered a wet dream season.

Agree this win feels great! Defensively we’re playing much better than we were 5-6 games ago. Thought Barnes should’ve gone zone for a few possessions when we couldn’t stop the penetration but glad we pulled it out with a great stop at the end. Turner has surprised me beyond words. Didn’t think he’d ever play clean basketball, but he’s limited turnovers and taken better shots the last 5-6 games. As you said, Bowden was also great in the second half. I feel it often gets overlooked but he does a lot of things well. One of our better defenders, rebounds well, and pretty good passer. Go Vols!!!

I kept thinking they should go zone for a couple possessions and see how it went. KY not a good 3 point shooting team at all, and mostly drive the ball. Barnes must either hate playing a zone or the team isn’t very good at playing it.

Don't mind us UK, just a little sweeping.

Great win. UK is not near as good as past years. But it was still a W on the road at Rupp. Big.

After tonight I expect the guys to win at Bama. They had one less day to rest/prepare for UK and it showed with the 3's as they were short off the front of the rim on many of them. It's hard to keep the momentum going after the explosion of offense in that last game. They seemed to have less energy at times for longer periods. The effort was there, but the sharpness of their offensive game was off. Turner, Bowden and Schofield came up big when needed. Now they get that extra day back.

Amazing win! Turner with another huge shot in a big game at the end there. Add another game winner to that shot he hit to tie the game vs Purdue. Ice in his veins for sure.

Have held 8 straight opponents to under 63 points. Four of those at home, four on the road, two of which were at Hilton Coliseum and Rupp Arena.

We have won blowouts, we have won close games. High scoring games, low scoring games. Being top-25 in BOTH offensive efficiency AND defensive efficiency has been advantageous.

I never like the "1 day less" statements because it's the same as Wednesday/Saturday games. And those haven't been a problem lately.

From Kentucky board:
These guys aren’t that good. When asked if he would prefer talent or experience, John Wooden immediately replied "talent." The phrase "incompetent, irrelevant, and immaterial " comes to mind when looking at this teams’ performance since they played UofL. It’ll take two years to recover from this team, but Cal and company can certainly do it.

They're all freshmen and this loser wants rid of em already. Sad little kitty cats...

Super win and Turner and Bowden are co players of the game tonight.

On CRB's postgame show, I think Kesling said that this is Barnes's first win at Rupp Arena and Barnes said that he had brought Texas there 3 or 4 times and they were all losses.

As BTO Said in the opening post, UT is playing with house money as they head to Tuscaloosa Saturday night and stopping Collin Sexton will go a long way in defeating Alabama.

I talked to a couple UK fans who said the same thing. They were lamenting that this group isn’t good enough to be one and done so can clear out and make room for the next batch

To me, the biggest sign of maturity on this team is that we score 90+ points in OM win, but also slugged it out and won with 61 points tonight, not shooting our best. That clutch win will give us confidence vs Bama. Think Barnes IS right...SEC best conference in basketball top to bottom, no question. Can't take a night off.

Gotta thank BBN for showing our fans what we look like most nights setting on our thumbs. Come on Vol Nation. We’ve got a great team that’s playing their butts off. Show them how much you appreciate them not only by showing up but by being rabid fans from the tip-off to the final buzzer!

How can Turner not start? I think Bone goes to the bottom of the guard rotation after tonight..
Turner... Bowden... Daniel... Bone... in that order.
