I hate control freak parents.

Not sure if you're a parent or not. I always looked up to my dad. I always respected his opinion and that guy bailed me out of more stuff than any parent should. That's just what parents do. And for Bryce Brown, he as well as me and a lot of other people are lucky to have a father in his life. So many people don't. And that is a very sad, sad situation. I respect the hell out of what BB is doing and the fact that his father cares more about the family unity rather than all these people all over the country telling his 19-year-old son what he wants to hear. I think he let BB make his decision but then found you can't trust anybody thanks to good ol CLK. Now, pull him, get a fresh start and get him close by near family and friends and get his feet back under him. I'm good with a "Father" telling his son what to do. That's the privilege you get when you're a father.

Wow, if true I feel badly for Bryce. He's been yanked around repeatedly by adults; his dad, the "handler" former coach, etc.

I don't feel bad for him one bit...He's an adult and can make up his own mind and if his parents are jerking him around then he has bigger issues than UT really needs to deal with...I wish you well Bryce, Maybe one day you will grow up and be your own man.

There comes a point when a parent has to back off and let their kid make their own decision.

obviously he didnt want to be here bad enough. If he did, then he would have told his dad to F off, like the majority of teenagers do.

End thread

You flame me for stating my opinion regarding BB, based on facts that DD has made public for months, then you make remarks about my shortcomings, someone you know absolutely nothing about. I suggest you look in the mirror "Mr pot calling the kettle black." BTW, welcome to my ignore list.

Glad to be on the ignore list. You actually think any cares about it? Try being less hypersensitive, makes one look like a five year old in the line of "I'm gonna take my ball(s) and go home. Seriously, grow up. You said that, i said this, we didn't agree-big freaking deal. Now if we were pointing AK-7 or Uzi at each other that would be different. Grow up.

This makes a lot of sense. Combined with the quotes in this article:

Tennessee's Bryce Brown asks for release, wants to transfer to Kansas State - ESPN

"Arthur Brown also said his son, one of the nation's top recruits entering last season, did not ask Dooley for a release at that meeting. This week Dooley said that the reason Bryce has not been released is because he "has not come to me, looked me in the eye and said, 'I want a release.'"

Arthur Brown said that's because he has repeatedly told Dooley since April that he has wanted his son released from his scholarship.

Arthur Brown said - "But I have told Coach Dooley since April, every time we've talked, that we want Bryce taken out of Tennessee. This is our family decision."

It would be kind of funny and sad if Bryce never asked for a release and that was Arthur that texted that to Dooley.

Sounds like his dad is already trying to be his agent.......
