Bryce Wanted to Be Here, According to Poole

but we all can agree that you have no ideal what your talking about ? let me guess your a TROLL?

I don't claim to know what I'm talking about, and I suppose that's my point. Until Bryce comes out and claims "I wanted to leave Tennessee to come to K-State," or vice versa, it's all just fan speculation based on second hand quotes. I don't think I'm a troll, just trying to play devil's advocate from a K-State fan's perspective.

It should also be noted that in addition to his brother being at Kansas State, Chris Harper, a fellow high-profile, Wichita native, also transferred to Kansas State this past year. Chris and the Brothers Brown are pretty good friends.

I absolutely agree that the Bryce Brown drama is worn-out, especially since this is round 2 of the "Where's Bryce going to end up" sweepstakes, but we at Kansas State are excited to have him.

Well, we wish you the best of luck. His past record suggests he'll be a decisive, dependable player who will bring great stability and hope to your program!

I have no respect for anyone that allows others to run their lives. BB needs to grow a set and take responsibility for what he feels is best for his future, instead of letting Daddy make those decisions. Bottom line.

Its not really that easy. By making the decision to disobey his family they could possible cut him out of their lives forever... (While this most likely wouldn't continue as soon as his first NFL check comes on) we have no idea whats going on behind the scenes and what they have been telling him.

It is that easy. I wouldn't want family in my life that would try to control me and make me go against what I wanted. That is pathetic parenting no matter how much you think you are trying to help.

He is in college and living on his own. He has a free ride to school based on his god-given talent and ability. He owes his parents respect but he should have told his parents to support him or shut up.

Hopefully, after a year, bryce changes his mind and comes back to UT.

You mean, sit out at year at K-State, then transfer out and sit another year. Heck, he'll be pro before ever playing any more college ball. :)

I have not heard that he is actually enrolled in Kansas State. I am not sure what the rules would be about him returning... but let's just forget about it.

When family is involved, anything can happen. So even if he is in college on his own, parents can still be a huge influence in his life. Happens all the time. Like others have said, we do not know the whole story, so we should just let this go. It's almost FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!! GO BIG ORANGE!!!

So much speculation here that excuses the way this has all evolved. Maybe he just wants to play somewhere else.

If it were just that simple... it would have been just that simple. All he had to do at any point over the last 6 months was come to Dooley personally and ask for a release. He didn't. He couldn't even bring himself to do it last week when he was in town with multiple opportunities. That leaves us with two basic possibilities: Bryce is a coward who couldn't look Dooley in the eye and as for his release or Bryce was stuck between what his dad was demanding he do and what he actually wanted to do.... which is basically what Poole said.

His father may have been asking but Dooley rightly rejected him as the right guy to do it.

Families are usually supportive rather than dictatorial.

Did anyone here anything on the Sports Animal the other morning about this situation? I only heard a moment of it, but they basically said Bryce actually did meet with Dooley and that Dooley is just lying about all this. I realize it's a horrible source, and I'm not saying I even believe it. Just wondering if anyone heard the whole segment or knows more.

Wow if they are just now reporting they met they are really late... It has been reported they met but he did not ask Dooley for a release.

They are probably just pissed at Dooley cuz he won't give them any scoops, so they're trying to make up there own.

If Bryce told his dad he was going to sign with Tennessee originally, he would have been able to tell his dad he was planning on staying.

His dad influenced him, but it was Bryce's decision. You don't tell too many 19 years old what to do, if you're a parent, they are usually independent.

There is nothing worse than meddlesome parents who manipulate their kids and try to live their lives. The guy was at UT, and if he wanted to stay, he should have--duh. Why, exactly, is he living--so he'll have less competition and get more carries elsewhere? That won't help him in the long run--talent wins out wherever you are. Otherwise, he's just disrupting his life.

Bryce's dad must be an idiot. KSU or UT...How was that even a decision. If Bryce wanted to be at UT he would have been at UT. End of story.
