Bryce Brown's Facebook

:).. I just hate so called fans, that expect these 19 year old kids to have everything figured out. If we lose him, yea it's gonna suck but that doesn't make him any less of a person because he chooses to go play somewhere else(you will never see me say the same about players like Tyler Smith or Nukeese). Until we find out the real reason behind this, there is no reason to bash him and say he's "wasting oxygen". ok my rant is over, and I'm going to bed. I just hope more TRUE vol fans fill this thread up so BB can actually see what real fans in the volnation think.

We have some really good supportive fans of the program and university on here, and also have some piece of **** garbage fans that don't deserve to wear the orange. Hell some eve sound like florida fans:"he's gonna be a great player for us one day, probably the best one in this class", and then after somethings happens..."He was never that great, over hyped IMO. glad he's gone!!".... Bryce is going through some personal issues that none of us truly understand right now, support him in whatever he decides. If he does decide/need to transfer then by all means good luck. At least he had the balls to talk to CDD about it and just didn't up and leave in the middle of the night.

Ok, I totally agree that sometimes good people go through tough times and they deserve a pass or to be given asecond chance; but sometimes people are just a waste of oxygen and do not deserve the first chance they were given. The problem I am having is that it seems like every player anymore is given the pass and labeled as a good kid who is dealing with some tough issues.

Really?

BB runs with a sleek style....smooth. His hip injury had to have some effect on his ability to finish a run the way the fan base would like. I think he is a talent and when healed will impress where ever he plays. I think it is time to let him go.

And that's on less than 1/4 of the total carries. But don't let facts get in the way of all the people who are convinced he's overrated.

Sorry, but to me these aren't stats that justify a prima donna attitude. He ran roughshod over weak competition and for the most part was ineffective against good teams with the game still in question.

I have not said that he was overrated. I have said that he has potential, not proven ability.

Let me see Richardsons stats from last year.

Giles is a much fairer and relevant comparison. On 52 carries, he had 277 yds and avg'd over 5.3 ypc. He also pumped up his stats vs weaker opponents playing behind a questionable OL. He also got diminished opportunities as the season went on.

He is also a potentially great back... but isn't one yet.

Jimmy hyams said on 104.5 the zone that from his sources that it is greater than 50% chance that BB stays at UT, but his dad is the one really making the push to come home..fwiw.

I was about to point out the fact that he amassed a fourth of his yardage against quite probably the worst football team to ever take the field in Neyland.

I wouldn't say BB was overrated because he has the talent to be a great college RB but it would be fair to say due to injuries and adjustment to the college game he didn't live up to his potential in his freshman year.

I can't say UT will be better off without Brown's service but we are pretty loaded at the position. I wish the kid the best of luck whatever he decides to do.

Would love to keep him in Orange, but if he goes he goes. We havea long road ahead of us to get back to the promised land with or with out BB. Leave the kid alone, Vol football will be back, someday!!

Yeah I heard that this morning. He said Bryce likes UT and wants to stay, but his dad is pushing really hard for him to go to KSU.

Hyams doesn't know if he will be able to stand up to his dad.

this was also coming from Hyams, so TIFWIW

I want Bryce to stay. I hope this gets worked out. I think he has way more potential than anyone on the team and it isn't close. We have backs that can get the job done and do a great job but his speed, size and power is definitely elite.

I really hate that we have a segment of our fanbase that turns on players/recruits as soon as they leave TN or go with someone else etc..

Oh and for kicks, Bryce I suggest you name him Orgeron and then just call him "little O"

Its sucks that this whole thing has happened. But a guy trying to figure out what's best for him and his family does not deserve to be bashed by ignorant fans. But every fanbase has them, good luck to Bryce if he leaves, hopefully he'll stick around
