he was about average. Not a disappointment but no real wow factor either. He'll be a solid back.

Averaged 4.5 yds per carry which is solid, he played at less then 100% all year long and still was a good back, he is better out of the backfield with screens and stuff.

In fairness, he never got enough consecutive snaps in any given game to get into a rhythym. Hardesty was just on fire for most of the season and can break the all time rushing record with a good performance in the bowl game...that says a lot with all the backs we've had come through here.

We expect Brown to be the man hereafter. He reminds me of Ricky Williams, when he was in college. He's hitting the weights really hard, and is no longer a finesse runner, but will be a power back.

Brown is not going to disappoint, mark that down. The break away speed may be lacking, but he runs with power and agility. If he ever learns to hit the hole at full speed every time, he will be a Heisman contender as a Junior. If we need a home run threat, that guy is David Oku.

I think he did really well. We have to remember he had a thigh injury that he dealt with most of the year, which slowed his break away speed down. He has always been fast and strong, his time will come after he heals. He has very good hands out of the backfield and will be a good release target for our next QB.

He has plenty of break away speed when fully healthy. The guy is a homerun waiting to happen every ime he touches the ball. Just needs a chance to get into a rythm. Has been so close to breaking some huge ones this season.

Solid back is a huge understatement. He could definitely be the best running back in his class in a couple years when he isn't running behind walk ons.

I thought Bryce Brown had a very good season for a true freshman, especially since he had an aggrevated hip all year long. Plus, he was behind a 1300 yard workhorse in Hardesty.

4.5 yards per carry in the SEC, I think, is very good for a true freshman. Especially since he could never get into a rhythm, being the back-up and all.

Next season will tell us a whole lot more about Brown. He's supposed to have an amazing work ethic, and if that's true, I bet we'll see great things out of him next year.

He will be a star. once he gets his hip healthy. If your hip is hurt any way at all, a RB is ineffective. Once hes healthy, he will be like a michael turner kinda back. Jack of all trades, potentially great. will be a high draft pick. Be ready next year Volnation

Just for comparison: Trent Richardson:126 carries for 642 yards and 6 TD's with 0 fumbles...averaging 5 yards per carry.

Richardson is also running behind whats probably the best run blocking OL in the country.
Bryce was running behind 2 walk ons and freshman

People can crown Bryce before he does anything. Don't flame me for being able to objectively look at a situation and not judge him until he gets a full workload.

Richardson benefits from a great offensive line and a run-first offense. Both are going to be great backs in the SEC, but Richardson has the advantage of coming in to school on a better football team.

Hardesty- 4.9 ypc
Brown -4.5 ypc
Hardesty is a 5th year senior, brown a true-freshman. Enuff Said.
