I hope he starts the first game. We all know he is more talented than are other backs. Nothing against Hardesty, but he has never been anything special. Rememeber the impact AD had at Oklahoma his true freshman year? We need the same kind of impact from Brown. He will be a statement about our new and improved offense. Hopefully, he will get a lot of carries against Western Kentucky.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. The rbs have been looking strong this spring. I would be very surprised (shocked) if he is our starting rb for the opening game.

I think he will see some playing time, but doubt he will start. If he can work his way to the #1 spot by the end of the year that would be awesome since he would obviously be tearing it up

Rivals ranked Bryce as the best Runningback to come out since Peterson, so I would say if anyone has a chance its Brown. On the other hand, Bryce will not have as good of a line that Peterson had his freshman year.

All I know is that he's a freshman who's never played a down against college (SEC no less) competition.

I trust that our staff won't send kids packing on the one hand, and then start anyone who hasn't earned that right on the other.

I guess Notre Dame should have started Rudi.

Brown is a true talent, and will get his playing time. Just don't EXPECT him to start. We have some talent at RB

IMO it will be tough the get the job over MH. He has great potential if he stays healthy. My gut tells me this is his year. We'll see plenty of BB this year, but the most reps will go to a healthy MH.

:lolabove: i disagree,mh does not have the break away speed to go 80 or so yards.he is primary a short yardaged runner.oh he will have a few longer runs, but not the long 50+yards.
i believe BB will take over by the fla.game and he will set the tenn.freshmen record for yards.:dance2::rock:

There's a big difference in believing and hoping.

If you truly believe....then let's make a little wager.

He won't...Please remember he is still going to be a freshman coming into a new system and enviroment...Don't expect the world from him right off the bat

I really hope that he comes in and does what Adrian did, but I just dont see it happening.

I don't really have concrete proof as to why he isn't going to start over hardesty, but I just have a gut feeling that he is going to under perform.

I hope he proves me wrong

Don't forget Oku is coming in as well and could see some playing time. I know everyone has forgotten about him since BB signed, but he was one of our big signees before we stole BB. I hope both backs get a lot of playing time and make other teams fear that combo for years to come.

How quick he starts will be determined by how quick he learns blocking schemes.

I think they'll put something in for him pretty quick. Brown is talented enough to play quickly, and I'm sure Kiff would like to point to him with other recruits and say,'See? You'll play here'...

IF MH stay's healthy he will start this year & possibly the whole year.

BB will get snaps & as the year progresses he will get more & more snaps but dont expect BB to come in & make a impact like AP did, it wont happen.

The only way you see BB start is if he was promised the first carry when he was recruited. I hope that's not the case I hate that type of recruiting tactic.

This will have alot to do with it, but Kiffin will never admit it.

The Cal-Berkley DLine agrees with me.

The Cal-Berkley DLine agrees with me.

MH ripped off huge runs against Cal when we played them in Knoxville..I remember a play where he was basically gang tackled and kept pushing and thought the play was dead and shed the DB and ran for about 40+ yrds for a td..he has the speed
