Bryce Brown next year

When I saw the author of the thread I instantly knew this was a negative thread...Brown has looked very talented and at times has run with power. He has not looked healthy of late. He looked much better a few games ago or maybe it was just that Hardesty was such a beast last night. I am not sure. But Hardesty made me eat my crow joyfully last night. A few games ago Brown to me looked like the best back to me.

I am not sure why the negavols dislike Brown. Is it because he is Kiffin's big prize and you miss Fulmer?

Bryce is not a Sproles type back that you can give 1 or 2 carries here or there and expect greatness...Bryce is just like Hardesty in that he needs multiple carries to get in a groove especially with his hip injury...Bryce will be fine

Hardesty wasn't this good when he as a Freshman either, budrow.

I think Bryce will be a 1,000 yard rusher next year and Oku will have around 400. We won't have quite the run game we had this year just due to our o-line, not as much about our RBs.

Are you saying our o-line will be worse next year? I would think it might be a little better with SEC quality linemen actually starting in place of two walkons.

460yds rushing 4.6 ypc 3 td and 137yd receiving 13.7 ypc 1td

all behind a patchwork OL, sharing time with another stud RB and a QB who finally came on halfway thru the season. Pretty good for a true frosh

We should probably work out Prentiss Waggner at RB.

Not saying Richardson is better on the field, just worried about his ability to hit holes. He was too timid last night.

they will be young and inexperienced so no one knows for sure. It may take a while for them to really get it together

I think it's pretty fair to judge how he will do after 3 carries on a night when the UT OL unimpressed.

All im saying is he has less wow plays than Richardson.

That would depend on what you consider a "wow" play. He's made a few great catch and runs, and broke several 10-20 yard runs that I can remember. If the coaches had given him a few more runs against Vandy and UK I'm sure he'd have made a few big plays just like Hardesty. With the way MH has been running though, there wasn't much of a need to give it to BB.

Look at what a full off season did for an oft-injured Hardesty. Brown will come out and break off some big runs and have a solid year next year. Don't get too down on him if he only runs for 1000 behind a young O-line, though.

Remember, also, that Richardson was running behind 5 SEC-Ready O-Linemen

bryce will have a great year ,even better if we fill out our offensiveline needs and bray or whoever our qb does a decent job,i see him getting between 1100 and 1500 yards if he stays healthy and oku and tony dont take to many carries from him ,if line does well brown can get 1100 oku 600 and the one who comes back from injury gets 500.

Yeah, I was thinking the OL quality could go either way. Next year's unit should have more upside, but how long will it take to get 'em adequately strengthened up and coached up?
