Will he be able to get it done? He has been unimpressive this year, he is too timid to hit the holes and can't shake tackles. Do you think we can straighten this out in the offseason or is another RB in line for the starting job?

You do realize he is a FRESHMEN RB in the SEC, if we hadnt of had Hardesty then BB would have been the work horse & would have done a good job imo. Another offseason with Gran will turn him into a great RB.

Blaker, really? A true freshman closing in on 500 yards while averaging 4.5 YPC in the SEC is not up to your standards? When will you learn to just shut up?

He has about 500 yards as a freshman back up, plus he has a hip injury that isn't completely healthy. Give the guy a break, I'd rather have Bryce Brown as a starter next year.

Who knows, the starting positions is up for grabs each year. It'll be between Brown, Poole, Oku, Williams, and freshmen. Brown does have the PT advantage though.

Hardesty wasn't this good when he as a Freshman either, budrow.

I think Bryce will be a 1,000 yard rusher next year and Oku will have around 400. We won't have quite the run game we had this year just due to our o-line, not as much about our RBs.

Yes he will get it done. I thought he was impressive this year. He had close to 500 yards on 100 carries. When he runs full steam ahead, he trucks defenders. He will be fine.

His ypc is about the same as Hardesty. Hard to set the world on fire with only 100 carries.

Stick to lacrosse there, Skippy.

Not really sure how he is "unimpressive"? As a complementary to a 1300+ yard back he has almost 500 yards. Not too shabby for a true freshman 2nd team back in the SEC. He is averaging 4.6 YPC, Hardesty is at 4.9. He has a higher yards per reception than Hardesty. I think he is pretty much where this coaching staff expected him to be by the end of the season and I do not see any reason why he would not be the featured back next year.

Not to mention he has been fighting various injuries all season long...

I think he has the potential to be great. He doesn't seem to run as hard as a "Hardesty" type. Hopefully they will work on his "urgency" to succeed. Plus, I think we will have Toney Williams next year. I hope I got his name right. He was hurt in spring practice and looked very good.

Yeah, we'll get him healthy, get him a little bigger and stronger, and then when he knows he's "the guy," he'll probably have more confidence and run with less hesitation and more authority.

All im saying is he has less wow plays than Richardson.

And yet, prior to the Auburn game in which Richardson was featured, Bryce's stats were pretty much identical to Trent's. Even with the additional carries, Trent isn't way out in front.

460yds rushing 4.6 ypc 3 td and 137yd receiving 13.7 ypc 1td

all behind a patchwork OL, sharing time with another stud RB and a QB who finally came on halfway thru the season. Pretty good for a true frosh

I like Brown's vision and speed... Give him an offseason to get stronger and he'll be ready to start. He's gonna be a big time player.

yeah and he ran behind two walk on lineman and was behind a senior tailback that ran for 1306 yards. He accounted for 500 yards himself, actually he had a really good year, and will make the strides to become over a thousand yard back next year. Some people are way way to critical
