Bryce Brown Gone

So Tennessee has lost Kiffin's #1 & 2 recruits. It is just non stop something for Tennessee football. This program is falling further and further behind. Why does Dooley not get up off his lazy butt and come tell me whats going on with our program. This is not only his program, I have been a fan longer than he has, I think I deserve to know what he is going to do with our Team.:clapping:

I'm sure Dooley is very busy at the moment. Why does he have to tell everyone everything? Some things are better left unsaid. I don't see the issue here. Did anyone think Brown may actually leaving for personal reasons? It could have nothing to do with Dooley. But then people couldn't speculate and bash the new coach based on the fact that they feel they are entitled to their coach being in the media every day. Luckily we do have a lot of depth at the RB position, so it isn't as big of a hit to our team as some think.

Here's the pic from the link above:

I hope you are being facetious but in case you are not...

What exactly do you think would be fixed by Dooley telling you something? Would it make Brown stay? Would it make UT's OL better?

If the guy were lazy, he wouldn't have survived even at La Tech much less LSU or the NFL. So assuming he is not lazy, what is the better use of his time telling you something or counseling with Bryce Brown about his future? Telling you something or talking on the phone with recruits for an hour? Telling you something or studying film so he can coach up UT's young talent?

If you want to blame someone right now for the program taking a step back, send your letters to: Sports Editor, LA Times.

The fact is that i am not gonna heckle this kid for leaving. He apparently committed to a coach and not a school. If he doesn't want to be a part of what we are doing, let him go. The fact is that Dooley is a very busy man, he is our coach and he can't be making any promises for starting jobs. I think Bryce made a mistake. He could've had a starting RB job at a great SEC school and a school that has turned many RBs to the NFL. But on the bright side we got OKu, Toney Williams (if health he can be great), Tauren Poole, and an incoming freshman in Rajion Neal. The fact is that if we could choose a position to lose a player at it would be RB. Go Vols!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have argued with guys that BB hasn't shown greatness yet... however I disagree with this statement too.

Brown does have a ton of potential as do Oku, Poole, Williams, and Neal. But not a single one is a proven commodity. Five potential RB's increase your chance of finding a great one over four... and especially when the fifth has the raw talent of Brown.

After Kiffin's purging last year, UT doesn't need to lose talent from any position group.

Great post!
Good luck to you BB, wherever you end up! We'll be fine as we are still The University of Tennessee!!:peace2:

This is a joke. New member, must be a troll with the name peytonwhat...

If nothing else... At least if CDD starts winning sooner rather than later Kiffin won't have any room to crow about how Dooley is doing it with his recruits.... Unless the whole team depends on Janzen Jackson to win games for 'em.... Speaking of which, it wouldn't surprise me at all for him to be the next one checking out.....

Damn, I leave the football forums alone for a couple days and this happens.

+8 million

Our fanbase is a bunch of whiny babies.

If the kid doesn't want to be here, wish him well. He is not going to help the team if he pouts around all day

Amazing how fast that dude put that video together...

Wonder what Bill Snyder is thinking today....

After everything that's gone down with Brown, he might be more concerned rather than excited over the possiblity of him transfering there...

So I guess I'm going to need a new user name. Oh well. If he wants to leave let him go. I want the players in orange that are all in, 100% dedicated to this program. We don't have room or time for half hearts right now. Give the ball to Oku and lets go. Vol football lives on!!

cant DD block him going to USC? ala what Miami did to Marve.

This point is always muddled by the fact that Bryce can go *wherever he wants* if he pays for that year of school. It's only the scholarship itself that doesn't transfer. People seem to get really obsessed with transfer blocking, etc. but in the end he's still a student and if he sits out and pays for one year of school himself he can transfer wherever he wants in the NCAA (as long as he meets admission requirements) and then the new school can add him to their scholarships the season after that.

Besides, I'm sure the money Kiffin and Orgeron gave him to sign with UT plus what he'll get if he went to USC would more than cover it. :wink2:
