But we got his white bread 1-star QB friend as a bonus.Yeah, the whole Da'Rick Rodgers thing was a complete surprise and came out of nowhere! No way he comes here on the drop of a dime without being paid. JMO
He actually really loved it at UT while Kiffin was here. His dad had a very strong influence on him. When Dooley came in it was very hard for him to stay here. Kid wanted to stay, dad wanted him to go, Dooley got tired of the distraction.Does Bryce even acknowledge He even went to UT?....What a disaster that happened to the team that season.
His name was something like Nash Knox. Georgia may not have given the package deal like UT and that may have been part of the reason he chose UT but I still ultimately believe he was paid to come here. JMOBut we got his white bread 1-star QB friend as a bonus.
Can't even recall the name, and refuse to look it up, but some of you will remember the kid. Da'Rick was living with the family, if I remember the story correctly. Or was that apocryphal?
Those were the days when I scoured bleacherreport all the time.
So many busts in those years. We still should have been great/good even with the holes in recruiting. The coaching was such a letdown.
Dooley played the game. He was the recruiting coord at LSU when Saban took over so he knew how to pull up to the table to get things going. Him and the entire staff got a crash introduction on roster transition through hidden payments.Like Dooley didn’t pay Da’Rick Rogers to flip from UGA. Come on. It’s been 50 years since anyone got a 5 star talent without paying.
