Bryce Brown facing eligibilty issues

You're so pessimistic. You post 3 times per page spreading your gloom and doom. Kiffin is concerned because the investigation may not be over in time for our opener. I don't think for one moment he believes BB will lose his eligibility.

CLK's disappointment is with the NCAA, not BB. Sheeeeeeeeesh...

The coach could have taken many stances today based on what he knows. If he would have taken a positive one, I would have been right there. The way he put it, it didn't sound very optimistic at all. I'll be optimistic when I hear that we expect everything to be fine for Bryce from our HC. Until then, I will worry.

There is something brewing behind the scenes on this story. A link to a story was briefly up on volquest that included the following that was missed on the initial edit run. When questions came asking what it meant they were taken off quicker than a anti-government message in China. My opinion is that rivals is answering questions on this also. Could get interesting.

By the way, here's Butler."

If we need BB to beat WKU then we are in serious trouble. I think with the backs we have now that we should beat up on them pretty good. It's just not worth the risk. Also LK has stirred enough stink already. He shouldn't be purposely sticking his toungue out at the NCAA at this point in time.

I think maybe you guys are taking things the wrong way. They said the issue revolves around fundraising that paid for his camps. Maybe they have nothing wrong with that happening, maybe their making sure that's what was happening with the money from whoever was "donating" it.

From what I can tell fundraising is not only widespread but out in the open, nobody tries to hide it because by all accounts it's not against the rules. Maybe the NCAA thinks it wasn't as innocent as that.

If the AA is against fundraising, students having jobs to fund things has to be next.

The NCAA will find away to take away Bryce's eligibility and let USC slide on the Reggie Bush matters. Go figure.

Who knows but I would say this will be cleared up in the next two weeks.

When Miami of all schools ended their recruitment of this guy and he suddenly jumped in with us I was uncomfortable that there were some issues related to this guy. Think about Miami's situation their coach is one year from being fired. If he landed this "big fish" recruit it would have done alot to keep the faithful happy for another year or two but he took the high road because he smelt a rat. Kiffin knew he needed a spark and was willing to take any chance to improve his situation at any cost. Hope that he had the best interest of UT in mind...

^ Dude should be given the Nobel Prize for Literature on how great and ownedish these words of beauty are which he created. Been alive for 20 years and have never seen an argument been so true on so many different levels. This sonnet that just rolls of your tongue like a sweet lollipop should be force read by anyone whoever wants to write anything into this place we call internet.

Oku will be the better back anyhow. Brown appeared to be an amazing player in HS, but he competed against guys who were too slow for soccer and too fat for tennis.

What we know about Brown...

1) He was so shady even Miami wouldn't take him.
2) He had an agent, err, handler while in HS.
3) He liked Ed Orgeron.
4) He has been getting his tail handed to him in UT practices thus far.

:hi: :gone:

Go play in traffic.

heard on the radio UT was not under investigation just BB (funding camps) ,becuase it was from his soph year and there was 5 other players involved but BB is the only one being investigated

Thoughts after reading 20 pages of this mess.

Another big ole yawn.

Same ole stuff different day. People railing the NCAA...lamenting that UT won't win a game now and the world is coming to an end.

Brown has done well in school. Seems to be a good kid. Not a criminal. I hope it goes well for him. If it doesn't we move on and he plays in the NFL hopefully one day. I'd hate to see it but it's the world we live in.

The NCAA sucks because it has to. You have people trying to funnel money to kids every way possible. You have people WANTING people to funnel money to them every way possible. The kids turn out to be the victims but they get sucked into it too and end up being Michael Vick. Each has to take responsibility and learn life's lessons.

So around it goes.

Football is fun but all the worship should be for God. Bryce Brown is a fabulous athlete but he's one man. Last I checked this isn't golf.

I hope all goes well for him.

UT still has a team.

I hope the Vols win a lot of games this year. It'll be great fun.

The NCAA sucks because of the timing of this investigation and they have all the expediency of the federal government.

I am so glad the NCAA is on the ball! Wasn't this something that happened when he was a soph which was at least two years ago? This just sucks!
