something to keep fans interest up??? :)

Here is the way one recent article described Brown's status:

A year later, 1,300-yard rusher Montario Hardesty is in the NFL, and Bryce Brown missed spring practice and has yet to rejoin the team for summer workouts, leaving his status for the upcoming season a question mark.

The Daily Beacon

They have to hold a Brown Presser to officially announce his decision?

I doubt there is a press conference. Fans will know by whether or not he attends fall practice. I doubt he will. It's hard to tell a coach, boss, etc you're are thinking about leaving and not follow through.

Good point. But i am going to hold out hope that Brown will return.

I don't even want to say it, but we all know TN is one "Chuck Webb" fluke injury away from being very thin at RB.

Thanks. IMO the smart move for Dooley woudl be to go to Brown, tell him the team needs him, he could contribute a lot, the team wants him to return, etc; to make that transition easier. But from what you read in here sounds like Dooley isn't doing that unfortunately.

The stuff I've read suggests he's already done that. Apparently the Browns either want something more or are struggling with the attraction of having the brothers play together for Snyder.

Why should Dooley do that? Because that is what Brown wants to hear? We've had a snake oil salesman as a HC before, I prefer not to go down that route again. What if the team doesn't want him to return? What if after weighing out the positives and negatives the team doesn't need him?
