Bryce told CDD on the first day of spring practice that he'd been having family issues for three months. He sat out all of spring. He finished the semester of school and went home to Kansas where most thought he'd stay. His brother (highly touted) had transferred from Miami and the thought was they would both play at Kansas St and most thought Bryce's dad was pulling the strings. There was some talk of Bryce's brother, coming to UT, that apparently is a no go. So...Bryce is in KS, and we are awaiting his decision. Of course, this is the short version.

BB shot down the thought of his brother coming to Tenn. BB is in Kansas right now just enjoying life with his friends and family... If he would just tell everyone if hes staying there or not would make it easier on him and everyone else... Annoying he wont give anyone a straight up answer. Be a man and grow up kid.

I appreciate the recap.

He's clearly talented, so I hope he comes back.

That said, we have some pups in the backfield who can play so I don't think our future hinges on him.

Neither were pictured in the Football Time magazine. Tauren Poole was the headliner for backs.

Bryce will clear this up at the press conference. He told CDD the problems had been ongoing for six months not three. But you got the gist of the situation.Coach Dooley comments on Bryce Brown.:good!:

Loaded? There’s not one RB who’s proven he can carry it every down in the SEC. Brown’s the most talented, but even he hasn’t proven he can run it on every down.

KSU has one of the top 50 football players in America as their starting RB, who will be a Sophomore. Tennessee is depending on a “Super Practice Player” in his fourth year on campus. Bryce will start the majority of the games next season if he is here.

Talent alone. Poole is a practice field legend, but has ended up buried on the depth chart under both staffs. He tried to quit in the middle of a game last year, doesn’t exactly scream winner to me.
