Bryce Brown decision (merged)

Will Bryce Brown return to play (be listed on a gameday roster) for Tennessee?

The team knows about his hip problems. They know that he wouldnt have been participating in spring practice either way. I am just praying it heals up enough that he can play somewhere even if it is not UT.

This reminds me of all the people talking about Josh McNeil being an All American and having a long pro career as a center...many in Knoxville knew that was definitely not going to happen because of his knees.

Bryce has a legitimate reason for struggling a bit last year, and a legitimate reason for missing practice that the team would not hold against him.

One would assume then that if it is his hip keeping him out for now then he probably hasn't been working out his legs very heavy.....but that is just an assumption, and we all know what happens when you make assumptions.

So I was watching sportsnite and they was talkin bout bryce and said he had a week if he was goin to play football anywhere? I know they are uga homers so who knows? Didn't someone say the 8th would be a day to look 4

I heard that on july 8 he was supposed to make some type of announcement about whether he wants to come back.

Trust me, all of the idiots against bringing back Bryce Brown now would change their tune real quick.
+1. Even if he does miss practice leading up to the season, he will be either starting or getting a lot of carries by mid-season.

We need all the help we can get.

If Bryce is half of the attention whore people are making him out to be through this whole ordeal, tomorrow/today would be a terrible time to announce his decision. It's going to be even more of a LeBronathon on ESPN than usual

If Bryce Brown isn't an attention whore, because he is not drawing attention to himself, he will announce today just so it does get lost in the Lebronathon.

Edit: Also, I am hopeful about him announcing something soon, but I have heard like 100 times on this thread about a day to watch..

Due to the lebron presser on July 8, bryce should delay his announcement until July 9 to get more media attention.

I heard that as well...but the place I heard it was this thread.

Yeah no doubt, this thread is the only place I've seen any sort of timetables for his decision, and they all seem like guesses.

My thoughts on the whole thing: I think we'll probably only get an announcement or some statement on the matter if he decides to return. I feel if he doesn't come back, that its basically no news since back in spring it was announced he was no longer with the team. Don't really think they'd make an announcement saying he's still no longer a Vol, you know? That's just my take on it though, what do I know? (Rhetorical question) :)

I say we start a poll to see who wants to drop this thread. No one player is worthy of this. The guy is no Jamal Lewis and never will be maybe 25% of his ability.

Be surprised at a PC or announcement no matter what he does... at best, media will ask coaches questions and get an answer

I am curious as to whether or not the past "presser" announcements actually came from BB or not. Nothing that I have seen has actually said that BB has announced that he will be holding a pressure at any time in the past.

I hear he has pocket presents though.

rumors only. I don't think Bryce has been quoted on this subject anywhere. could be wrong but I don't recall any quotes
