Just let him go. Who cares. If he's indecisive about being a Vol, good riddens and good luck.

He was fourth string before Kiffey, and now hes first. You wanna know who was fifth string and coulda easily been in the heisman race this year? Masoli from Oregon... Yeah he skrewed up in the past few months, but that just proves that you don't have to be a 5* prospect to be first string...

OK. The point of my post was that it's not a foregone conclusion Kiffin was screwing Poole over. Evidently the previous staff didn't feel he was the best back on the roster, either. And actually, he might have been fifth string had Toney Williams not torn an ACL.

First, why does everyone says we don't need him? Bryce Brown has more carries in a college game then the rest of the running backs on the team combined. Not to mention, based on his 40 time, he's also the fastest running back on the team and the biggest. We need him. A new QB needs an experienced RB to take some pressure off.

Second, you don't treat your star players like everyone else on the team. That's bs. He's a future star and that's how he expects to be treated. If UT doesn't, someone else will, that's guaranteed. At least Kiffin for all his faults, recognized that, I don't think Dooley does. :twocents:

I agree that he is the most experienced back. He would have the upper hand on the others. But you cant tell me that in a strait track race that oku wouldnt burn brown. i think brown is our most prepared runner. If the season started today, he would be built the best for sec play. so, would it be a plus to hav him yes, but is he going to make or break our season? no

I don't think there is anyone that truly believes that we do not need him (unless they are lacking a brain). I just think the general feeling for Bryce Brown is that we would rather him de-commit to the team now than wait another two months to do it.

Everyone thinks he will leave, even though we all still hope that he won't, so it is frustrating for him to wait so long to let us know.

is he a future start? he wasn't a star last year. He was average last year. Yeah, he was a freshman but he was average.

I disagree with Brown being a star player he hasn't proven himself to be a star yet.Secondly, why should Dooley or anyone else have to kiss his ass and massage his ego just so he'll feel good?If he's a Vol this fall great if not whatever somebody else will be happy with the opportunity for playing time.

Something I just thought of: Has he been working out on his own? One would think he (if not) would be quite a bit behind the guys on our squad or Kst or anywhere. Thoughts?

So did Hyams say when the Brown presser will be?

I hope he wasn't confused and was actually talking about the Heath Shuler decision to forgo his senior year presser.

That's an interesting statement coming from someone who has a Vince Lombardi quote as his sig line. Here's another...

"Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another."

... and here's a quote about Lombardi by Forrest Gregg.

"He treated all players the same and never had the racial problems some other teams had at that time."

That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard of. If you are looking for a coach or team with that kind of mentality, you might want to follow usc or "the U"

Reality is there are too many "prima donna's" in college football. I saw the "Future" and didn't really like it... and apparently the team didn't either.

With TN's depth problems, and CDD saying that besides OL, he is most worried about the RB position, I think fans should want Bryce back in Orange.

When is the presser?

Yes.

Why does everyone think there will be a presser? I keep hearing that, but have yet to see anything actually confirming it. I don't think there will be a presser, and I don't think there is a snowballs chance BB is coming back. JMO.

Or any major college football program in the country.

If you think Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc gets treated the same as a 3rd string player your clueless.

I've heard coaches discuss this. Jimmy Jones said if an undrafted free agent showed up late for a team meeting he would usually dismiss him from the team. If Troy Aikman did he wouldn't say anything. That's reality, it's a hard fact of life. People don't get treated the same depending on who you are.

Only thing I see on there talks about our commits yesterday. Also talks about how Dooley is targeting high character guys and how there are a lot of 4 star prospects still considering Tennessee. Basically giving Dooley and his staff props...
