So with the addition of Brown, that should put us about 9 on Rivals just ahead of Florida. Assuming a 5 star is worth about 250 points.

Like him or not Kiffin is our coach for awhile 7.5 mill if he is let go in 2010 or 2011 5mill if he is let go in 2012 or 2013 not to mention the coaches have three year deals their buyouts would be substantial.

I got an unexpected text message.

Guys, I hinted as much as I can. The rest of it is going to someone who will benefit from "breaking" the story. He deserves it and it'll done at some point tomorrow afternoon.

(since I'm a selfish scooper and all)

The lastest. 1:34AM

this is the thread that time forgot...wow. So to quickly summarize the past 50 pages of dribble on here: BB is NOT coming for a visit this weekend, Oregon is a "wanna-be" program, come Monday BB will sign with either UT or Miami, if he does sign with the Vols, we catapult up the rankings into the top 10. Is that about it? GO VOLS!

That's pretty much the cliff's notes version, yes... :good!:

You forgot to mention the 6 OT thriller that many of us watched together last night. Pay attention! LOL

Kiffin has a huge buyout. That plus Fulmer's buyout means that the only way he doesn't come back in 2010 is if he gets caught naked with a goat in his office. Which, considering what his wife looks like, is pretty unlikely.

Agreed that his leash has probably been shortened somewhat, but not to the point where he's at risk of getting only one year.

i went back several chapters in the thread and couldnt find the source of this statement. did something happen?

Verci's comment was in response to wheaton's point about CLK and his job tenure... really nothing to it.

No real news. Just some controversy over BB and whether he is going to visit.

BB visited TCU yesterday, likely as a favor to a friend he has there, and not as a visit where he was considering TCU.

Sounds like he'll be in Knoxville today and this weekend, but don't be surprised if you hear otherwise. Some think it's another CLK surprise tactic like he used with Nuke.

VSPN has been rock steady to his early comments.

My source, who works at the Cedar Bluff Krystal says he knows BB and he will be in town and will stop by for a meet and greet......check it out.

I am pretty sure that VSPN is talking about Hubbs and how he will break the story about BB being in Knoxville tomorrow. It's going to be a special day tomorrow I believe!

VSPN, I also listened to the archive of your show from 3/12. Very good job..I will hopefully be able to listen on more of a consistent basis!

except that Hubbs just stated that he is not coming to the "best" of his knowledge. he also said that the Brown family has a meeting with someone from the media early Sunday, so if they did come that would have to head back very early.

Hubbs quoted that from Mike Farrell at rivals. Bryce's dad told him mid week that they are fasting and would not be going anywhere. Meanwhile, Bryce was at TCU yesterday. That should tell you something.

also BB's dad has denied that the family will be in Knoxville, per Hubbs.

That's not per Hubbs, it was per Jeremy Crabtree.

If you guys would use some common sense, this wouldn't be so hard to figure out.

The comment to Crabtree was "Bryce is fasting, he won't be going anywhere". So, weird, but on the day before he was rumored to be in Knoxville, even though he's fasting, he just decided to stop by and see a friend who plays for TCU ,(not visit as a favor), which is several hours away from his home? I doubt it.

Where's TCU close to? What are 2 of the top 5 airports in this country, where a direct flight between the two are very inexpensive?

A lot of you are basing things on Hyams. Why in the hell would this coaching staff, who Hyams has killed on his show, confide anything in Hyams?

Why would Jim Chaney, tell anyone, that BB was coming to town when it's supposed to be a secret?

If you are going to come up with reasons to discredit me, at least make some sense on you way.

They said yesterday on the sports animal that he was NOT coming. Is this a ploy to get everyone to lay off??

So, there is an agreement that Hubbs will break the story this afternoon - and that is why he danced around yesterday on the radio? Is that what I'm hearing, VSPN? :)
