IF we do land BB, Kiffin and crew better have all of their stuff in one sock. With this Butler character on board or hanging around the NCAA is going to be all over this like white on rice, IMO.

I'd love to have him too. He is the real deal. He has the speed, power and vision at his age that we have only seen at UT in year's past.

He can get a little carried away at times with cut backs but he pulled it off. I am not sure how he will fair it the SEC but I do believe with the Offense Kiffin is putting into place he will succeed. Brown would not have been as successful under a Cutcliff/Fulmer coached offense. He will be very successful under Gran/Chaney/Kiffin.

I doubt that they are taking any chances. Their names would be MUD through football if they can in and ran up big recruiting violations and left.

I have been reading this thread for awhile now, with minimum participation. From what I have seen/read, BB is a good kid from a good family that is involved with a parasite. My gut says to pass on him. The risk/reward that is involved in this situation is not worth it.

Lack of Institutional Control.

No knowledge of this would not hurt us but knowing it and doing nothing could lead to a Probation.

For example, Reggie Bush. Seems like USC got away with it.

Alabama 1992 DB Lundry? Did not. Resulted in Probation. Foreit of Games Close to Death Penalty.

This cat hasn't been in school since dec. He has five official visits, this is not rocket science!!!!!! Hell the government created and passed 1100 pages of legislation to stimulate the economy IN LESS TIME THAN THIS GUY CAN CHOOSE A SCHOOL!!!!!! Antonio Langham in 1993. He was ineligible because he signed an agent. Their probation also stemmed from Gene Jelks admitting to receiving 20k plus from bama boosters back in the mid-80's.

The NCAA has to take control of this before it gets out of hand. I guarantee it will only get worse next year.

Thanks for the info. Memory is definitely fading. They had to foreit games. Including the NC Game or not.

Do you think it is possible that Bulter could put us into a similiar type of situation.

UT needs to wash their hands of this situation. Some thing is mighty fishy here. We will not get a pass like USC did since we are not the media darling of ABC and ESPN. And there is no way to control what goes on with this agent and the player. There is no such thing as an advisor for a high school player, he is an agent acting in the kid's behalf. Otherwise the kid would have made his own decision.

I think the thing with Bulter started out as a good idea gone bad. It worked for his brother the year before and so the family stuck with it for Bryce. Both are 5 * players, but a RB is going to get more attention than a LB. Arthur Brown was under the radar sorta and so his recruitment did not get the flash in the pan that Bryce's did.
Bulter spring boarded and turned it into a circus drawing the spotlight onto his organization. The website is fairly new and is now growing in information at a steady pace. Bulter is using this recruitment which started with good intent to bolster an unneeded service. There are exceptions, but this has parlayed into a recruitment nightmare and a possible sign of methods to come.

Others will start doing this on a regional basis and it will grow because of the false success and the money/endorsements that follow. For example, the All American Army Game followed by the Body Under Armour Game.

This is the beginning of a possible mess in football HS recruiting.

I believe he goes to LSU. Could be wrong but right now it's between us, Oregon and LSU and if he really like us or Oregon enough he would have commited already. Maybe he won't be to fond of LSU (which most people aren't) but right now, all LSU needs is a decent visit and they got him. I could be wrong, and i probably am but with this guy nobody knows what he's truly thinking outside of Brian Butler.
